I'm pretty sure the NCAA rule is you have 10 semesters to finish your eligibility once you've started your first season (a season constitutes as attending one practice after the 1st game).  If he's been at Redlands for 4 years now and applied (in a previous season) for a 5th and it was granted, then it sounds like he could come back next year.  However, if this is his 5th year then he won't get a 6th for another injury.  That's my understanding of the rules but I could very well be wrong.

I am not positive but I believe that is for division 1 athletes. I don't think there is a specific amount of time for division 3 eligibility.

From a neutral perspective and someone who has followed division 3 football pretty closely the last couple years I don't think there was a team better than the 2004 Linfield squad. Just deep with talent.

I witnessed them thrash some pretty good Oxy teams in 2004 and 2005.

Long time Oxy fan. Haven't posted in a while but I heard from a Redlands source that Selway did in fact break his foot in that game. Tough loss for Redlands.

Oxy wins 21-14.

Pass incomplete to Dull. 4th down.

Timeout Chapman. 3 and 4 on the Oxy 7.

Touchdown Oxy. Goltz to Rocky.

3 and goal for Oxy from the 10.

4 and 18- pass complete. First down Oxy.

Goltz hits Rocky for a first down.

Tromello is a safety.

Oxy had the ball first. Stopped on first down. I think Haller is hurt for Oxy.

2nd down- sacked.

3rd and 13- incomplete.

4 and 18- Oxy calls timeout

The Chapman announcers are clueless.

Oxy gets a pick. Ball is tipped and picked by Tromello. 43 seconds left and Oxy has 1 timeout.

Oxy takes a knee. We are going to overtime. I believe Tromello has 2 picks today. The kid is for real

Chapman 1st and 10 at midfield. 2:37 left.

Early in the 4th the game was tied at 7. Oxy fumbled going in to score on the Chapman 3. Three plays later Chapman scored on a 90+ touchdown pass.

Another 1st down by Chapman. Oxy needs a stop
