I am not a CCIW expert but tonite was the nite i thought an upset would happen in chicago. I thought EC would get beat, my reason for thinking this......well NPU beat us earlier in the season when we had a last second bunny rim out so i really wanted them to beat my high school team mate's(ryan burks) team so i could say well our teams are evenly matched. But the sophomore duo of burks and ruch represented class A basketball tonite to show hope for all small school basketball players. hahaha kinda corny

Robert Morris and OXY was a very competitive game. Both teams had the streaks of amazing shooting. OXY just outplayed RMC in the final 2 minutes. The 7 players RMC has is the roster for the rest of the season, but they can compete with a lot of teams.

Unfortunately, Brian Price was one of the players who was unable to make it academically. He brought a lot of energy and excitement to the eagles line up. With or without Price i think RMC would of won that game but, there may have been a few posterizing dunks on Plattevilles big boys.
This was also the first regular season game in RMCS history that has been played at Golds Gym. The home floor was booked for a high school shootout. Why the scheduling conflicts? I dont know, but judging a team by where they played a game at is not a very good idea. Escpecially after they just got done beating the supposively 13th D3 team in the nation.
On another note Congrats to Elmhurst for a big win over another WIAC powerhouse.

RMC is a private school and i dont know abuot any other colleges but RMC requires student-athletes to achieve a decent GPA to play sports. Some of the players were unable to achieve that GPA.
On another note, RMC soph Shawn March had a career high tonight with 20 pts(10-11), he made a lot of easy buckets when UWP went to a 1-3-1 zone. Still confused on why they played a 1-3-1.

Yes Springfield is the lesser of the 2. RMC Springfield is a USCAA D1 team who recently had over half of the team get dismissed from the team. The core 5 from the past few seasons is still there and they took complete control of the game. Each player getting around 38 minutes. The bigger, stronger Platteville team could not keep up with the quickness of the eagles. Corley Lee led the eagles with 23 pts and 8 rebounds.

AndOne, that is a good stat line for the game. Like i said in my previous post i was only there for 1 half and that is what i saw. I am guessing they played a better 2nd half if they cut the lead down to 6. The one half i saw Walton was trying to get his team going but picked up his 3rd foul.
Rodney, i was thinking about heading up to the classic on sunday too. For sure heading up on the 30th for the Beloit Game.

congrat to ryan burks. looks like all the hard work in the manito cage has paid off for the kid!!!
Also, for only watching 1 half of the NCC/Hariss Stowe game; i was very disappointed in NCC and Simmons. I felt that the team played just like there leader and came out to cocky. My personal opinion may not mean much but i think NCC will have trouble when teams apply intense gaurd pressure in conference play. Not taking anything away from them, they are good but young

Millikin was down 15 with about 4 minutes to go and made a quick come back by hitting shots and RMC missed 8 free throws down the stretch. The convention Center seats around 8000, probably 300 of those seats were filled. Corley Lee led the eagles with 23 pts and i beleive that Gavic led Millikin with 20 pts. Millikin went 8/11 from beyond the arc. Those are just a few stats that i know off the top of my head.

Ive been reading a lot on here and have been debating on whether to post on here. Obviously i decided to post. First off i would like to congradulate Ryan Burks for hitting what could be his biggest shot of his career. Elmhurst is my pick to click this year in the CCIW.
And now to my main point. I was reading that RMC Center Corley Lee might have CCIW abilities. I would hope he was capable of playing in the conference because he did play Division I for a year. Also, i would not lable him as a center; he might have the size of a D3 post player but he is a gaurd turned into a post player because of the lack of size on the RMC springfield team. He is the floor leader(not one of the jaw jockeys though). NCC beat RMC last year by 16 and 14, in my pick'ems i would go with NCC but would not be surprised if its a good game.
