Way to go R-MC!  Sweet Sixteen for a third straight year.  The character and heart of this team must be incredible.  Of course, that is no different from any of Carroll LaHaye's teams!

GOOD LUCK YELLOW JACKETS!

Congrats to the Moravian women's basketball team for winning the 2007 ECAC South championship -- 86-64 vs. King's.  The Greyhounds beat the #1, #2 and #3 seeds to win the tournament.  That's pretty special!

Moravian seniors Kelly Applegate, Jenny Hackleman, Katie Rizman and Kristina Adams end their careers in style.  They should be remembered as a very special class in the history of Lady Hounds basketball.

WAY TO GO HOUNDS!

Congrats to all of the ODAC teams for winning their first NCAA games.  "POWER CONFERENCE" it certainly is!  Good luck Saturday!   ;D

That's too bad about Molly . . . I hope the Yellow Jackets can overcome that.  I'm a believer!

RMCAlum30 -- y'all better make sure the house is rocking!  I hope someone bought up a bunch of student tickets.  There is nothing like a packed Crenshaw.

GO JACKETS!

Congrats to Moravian and King's women for making it to the ECAC South championship game Saturday at 2:00 at Albright.  Also kudos to Albright for a fine season.

#7 seed Moravian beat #3 seed Albright 71-60 in the semifinals Friday and #1 seed King's beat #4 Washington & Jefferson 68-62.  The reason King's is not hosting is because they were unable to apply due to their men's NCAA game the other night.

I believe this will be the first meeting between Moravian and King's this year.  Should be interesting.

I'm a 1994 Moravian grad and this year's team has a lot of heart.  LET'S GO HOUNDS!

Any word on why Ariail didn't play for R-MC Friday night?  Just curious.

Glad the Yellow Jackets got the "W".  What an incredible season!

King's, Albright and Moravian are all in the ECAC South championships . . . Drew is in the ECAC Metro tournament.

More details on the ECAC website at the following link:

I'm a Moravian fan.  Let's go Hounds!

As I remember it, SIDs do not vote for all-ODAC teams in ANY sport.  Just scholar-athletes.  SIDs may help the coaches with writing the nominations, but then the coaches do the actual voting.  Unless it's changed this year?

I worked directly with R-MC athletic teams for six years -- and in all honesty, I never saw the women's basketball team as being "overconfident" heading into the ODAC tournament.  The coaching staff and players always respected the opponents, knowing anything could happen.

They also went into the tournament extremely prepared for ANY possible opponents, should they move on from the quarterfinals.  It's hard to practice for three straight games, especially not knowing who your upcoming opponents will be if you advance.  But I do know that as much as possible, it's true -- R-MC tried to take it "one game at a time" and did not take anything for granted.

Saratoga, with all due respect, I don't get it -- are you saying that MORAVIAN has played badly recently?

From what I can see, the only really bad loss for the Greyhounds RECENTLY was 81-69 at Juniata Jan. 27th.  They lost by 4 at Messiah, by 1 vs. Albright, by 3 at Muhlenberg -- and now are riding a 3-game winning streak.

Beating the #1 team in the nation is special any time, I think.

OK, enough with Del Val vs. Scranton already!  With all due respect to those two teams and their fans.

Moravian beats #1 Messiah -- thoughts anyone?

I would love to hear opinions on the Moravian men's team this year.  The Greyhounds seem to be playing inspired basketball.  Any thoughts?
