Lets just be honest.  Purple vs Purple is what everyone was expecting and what everyone will get this year.  MTU and UWW can play all there games away and it wont matter.  They will still be playing each other in Salem.  MTU and UWW are head over heels above each team in all of D3.

I can just say from experience that playing on the road in the playoffs is a unreal experience.  Hotels, flights and getting out of UWW for 3 or 4 days.  It is truly a great time.

Naperville will be a great time, its a nice city and North Central has good facilities.  As for Delware well???

The more Illinois high school players the better.

In my honest opinion the reason why D3 athletes dont transfer up to a higher level is simply because most of the time they are D3 athletes and that is why they are there.  Yes there are exceptions to the rule but its rare and the exceptions usually make the move as many posters pointed out before.

Blow in 2002 and 2003 were blow outs.  Games were never close especially in 2002.  I will say in 2003 the game was close for the first 10 minutes.  Getting beat by 20 plus points does not help your program.

The recruiting classes they brought in 2003 and 2004 were really good recruiting classes.  AJ Raebel, Ryan Kleppe, Pete Schmidt,  Andy Murray, Brent Allen, Dan Ansteet, Brady Ramsier, Rob Widuch, Derek Stanly and  Justin Beaver.  Just to name a few.  Not the same type of players they brought in 2000, 2001 and 2002.

Staff was set and set for multiple years.  SAC was built.

All this didnt happen because we played Mt. Union.  Also the years before that we played St. Johns who at that time was right behind Mt. Union.  Also didnt help us.

I still feel that getting smoked in that game had nothing to do with the future success of the program, no matter what Brez said.

Before I was there it sounded like coaches were moved around a lot.  Its very hard to win that way.  Once they got good recruits, a good set staff and great facilities UWW started winning.

Don't know why a 20 point plus loss would turn a program around???

Playing Mt Union had pretty much NOTHING to do with springing UWW forward.  Hired quality coaches and did a great job recruiting that is what changed UWW.  That is a fact.

Playing in games you have little to no chance in winning is just dumb.  It wont help the program at all.  Take for instance if you play games that you have a higher chance in winning you could have a better record and come in second in the WIAC.  This would allow you to go to the playoffs.  After you make the playoffs its anyones game.  That might help the program.  Starting off 1-2 will not help your program.

Dinks is very deserving of this promotion.  His loyalty and hardwork with UWW shows with his success as a Oline coach.  I couldnt be happier for you Dinks and UWW is lucky to have you.
He is by far the best coach I have ever played for.  Congrats Dinks.

It makes me wonder the people who check this site when you look at the results for the recent poll.  Who are the clueless 5% that say neither UWW or MUC will make it to the stagg and the 32% that actually say a team will be them?  Cant be St. John's fans because THEY GONE.

Sakman your predictions are almost always wrong.  But I got one for you.  42-14 final for this Saturday at the Perk.
We will see the #1 defense at the Perk this weekend.

Pads might work.
Or a fresh new face.
10-0 and upset in the first round after being ranked #4 not a typical Johnnies season.  It used to be Mt Union and St Johns.  Then it was Mt. Union, St. Johns and UWW now its UWW and Mt. Union.
BORING

As I have said many times this year.  THE PARTY IS OVER AT ST. JOHNS.  Time for the legend to call it quits.  Just winning your conference isnt working and frankly its making D3 football a little boring.

Sorry guy but you need to win to get the Player of the Year

Most people after being banned from the stadium would go home.  NOT THE CANON GUY.  He stands outside and BOOMS away after every TD.  I am buying stock in gun powder Friday night.  Sales should be up with the amount of times that canon with BOOM.

I heard the fans can be a little loud in the stands come Saturday, should they sit outside the stadium gates as well????

Finally got to see the Warhawks play this year and all I can say is wow.  The game actually got boring during the later part of the game.  Osh Kosh got dominated from the get go.  The defense is amazing.  Troney Shumpert is easily the best player in the conference and maybe one of the best defensive players ever to play at the Perk.

The offensive line looked great.  The am ount of time that Donovan has to throw the ball is ridiculous.  29-33 Donovan just stop it. And watching Coppage run all over the place, making everyone miss was a DELIGHT.

I heard they were good but now I know they are first hand.

Never really understood the whole running up the score thing.  If the defense cant stop the offense is that really the offenses fault.  I can see leaving your starters in too long as poor sportsmanship.  But being called a bad sport for running offensive plays to get college athletes game experience, dont get it.  Especially with the no redshirting rule now in D3.  I would run plays til the horn or CANNON blows.

And stopping the run game HAHAHA sounds more looks more like UWW just decided to pass against a weak pass defense for 466 yards of total offense.
