Actually yeah, he was a former teammate of mine in high school. He says he is looking to transfer to a D3 school back towards his former home Cincinnati.

I have heard some news that a Wide Receiver from California who played at a 1AA school might be transferring to Thomas More. If thats the case then that should really help them. Anyone else hear that?

it official, i just spoke with danny jones, he is transferring! he says the money is tight and i can understand that from how much it is to live in thousand oaks and go to school there. big loss for cal lu! i dont know if they will recover from that. he also wants a chance to play at the next level somehow and they do get more national attention (as east coast schools do) than cal lu. i can understand his side. he wants the best situation for himself to get to the next level and win a championship

i had told coach richardson that cal lu has been my number 1 all a long. if i get admitted to school i will be attending and playing for cal lutheran next fall. i have yet to speak to coach macanroe but plan on going down there to meet him in a few weeks.

Oh, he in deed got the job, i spoke with QB Danny Jones today on the phone and he also verified that, said he was a great guy and a great coach from what he has heard.

not quite sure where im gonna go yet, the only plus with cal lu is that i have a way better chance of gettin into school there but still have not made up my mind, if i get into cal lu and redlands it will be tough. redlands coaching staff were great people. coach thomas and maynard are top notch character guys. as for cal lu, coach richardson is a great coach and man as well.  the problem with redlands is they dont take as many units of mine as cal lu will. i should have my mind made up somewhat soon. im pumped that cal lu has finally hired a coach. i will need to go meet him as soon as i can. he coached with a long time friend doug atkins at humbolt for a few years and is also a cal lu alum.

When the heck is Cal Lu gonna hire a coach. i went down there and visited the campus and met with coach richardson and from what i saw he is the right guy for the job, he would make sure the offense doesnt miss a beat. coach richardson has a few big name transfers on the verge of transferring there but all of us would like to see the hire sometime soon. it was hard for him to pitch a good recruiting line when he doesnt know for sure if he will be there.
From what i saw and here the hire should come within the next week, but how many times have we heard that? I believe the job should go to richardson or fenwick. it would keep the same continuity with team if coach richardson stayed around. going through a coaching change is hard for the players but going through it for this long must be tough. im not even on the team and i am frustrated with it. hope it comes soon as they say!!

i know if speckman got hired it would be a bad hire on the part of cal lu. anyone agree? fly offense with that great qb wouldnt be smart on cal lu's part

i talked with clay richardson, the oc last season at cal lu and word is speckman interviewd earlier in the week and richardson interviewed yesterday. he didnt tell me but i have heard fenwick from oxy will be involved in the interviewing process at cal lu and ULV, i guess my info was wrong on the ULV case, my apologies. fenwick is a hell of a coach, i might go where he goes.

i believe its true. i spoke with a former player and coach at ULV today, he was at sac state last season with me. he informed me of the news. i hope it falls thru because it will hurt the program if they have to search again next season

i just heard news that ULV named their Oline coach as interm head coach for this season then the job will reopen next season. i guess they wanted to give the oline coach the job but because they didnt interview any minorities i guess the job will reopen next season...kind of a rinky dink deal there but i guess we'll see how it works out
