the question Forgottenman asked was "what's a SLIAC" ?

... the answer is: a conference that cut and ran from 2 schools that straddle the Hooch (Chattahoochee River)  ...that being  LC and HC

LC & HC need to throw in with the USA south

the boy that grew up at my house  (son or 'the boy') was miffed by all this, as we couldn't vie for a conference cahmpionship next season... but we didn't get one last season (LC saw to that)

all this will work out

I know the I-85 runs near the Oglethorpe Campus, but that is in atlanta, ga, and isaw this in a home depot in Opelika, Alabama, yesterday (over 140 miles from oglethorpe)

a (probably) 20+ yr old feller, lots of body art on his arms (or 'tats' or 'ink') a black 'T' shirt that read " ReHab is for Quittors", and a 'Oglethorpe' turned around backwards ::)

awesome :o

i know i should be home and in church, and not working....

and i know i am in the milwaukee airport, so these don't count for much, but  I saw a feller decked out in a  Blue UW-Platville b-ball sweat suit, with matching UW-Plattville bag ( real real nice guy, we talked D-3...nice to meet him)

a mid aged man with a UW-Eau Claire T-shirt (he was in a hurry, so just exchanged 'howdee's')

these 2 were in a sea of red 'W's, red 'Wisconsin' shirts and pullovers, and a mixture of GB Packers & Vikings gear

group of college aged folks with combinations of 'W", Wilmington football, quakers etc on Tee shirts, sweat shirts, pullovers

a 40-50ish man wearing a 'Marietta    Pioneer Baseball', it was crowded, and i was passing him, i yelled D-3 baby...he grinned and did a thumbs up :D

a lady with a baby (and looking tired and un happy) wearing a 'HIRAM' pullover (i left her alone) >:(

2 young people (~20 or so wearing a ""Willamette" pullover and 'Willamette Football' sweat shirt...i said 'yall a long way from home', before they could answer a nother passer by said 'sounds like u r too' ;D

downtown convention center, columbus ohio

Young man wearing 'Capitol Football' (he was a big kid and former D lineman)

young man (but older and taller than the first) wearing a 'Wittenberg Athletics' (a former player, now a hard core iron pumper)

a young man (youngest but much larger than the other 2) wearing a purple letter jacket, with a big white 'M'... this one is a current player on the  O line for  mount union, i asked him where his national champ rings were,  and he laughed and said he had 2 at home and would like to get a third next year

all were  very nice young people, and i believe genuinely happy to talk D-3 football
