Don't forget about 2 wins over Webster 1 over Wartburg and 2 over Gynned? Mercy. All of these teams have automatic bids if I'm not mistaken.

In past years, the Cougars have pitched 6-7 guys as a tune up for the Conference Tournament........ However, this game holds A LOT more than in past years. Should be interesting.
Another note on the game is that it is switched to Benedictine University at 7:30. It has been said there was a travel schedule problem for Carthage. Should be an interesting game to say the least.

Concordia Chicago sweeps Concordia Wi today. This puts them in a good position to have the 2 or 3 spots in the conference tournament. If Rockford or CUC wins the conference tourney you think they get a regional bid? Or does each team have to win out?

Concordia Cougars beat North Park 11-5 today. It seems that CUC has found its power with 6 home runs over the weekend and 3 today. Big match up this weekend with Augie

Concordia Chicago Cougars move to 9-1 after beating Webster and Wartburg on Sunday. This week they are scheduled at North Park on Tuesday. Are they the team to beat in the NAC?

Concordia-Chicago 7-1 in Arizona. 2 wins over Gwynedd Mercy and one over Webster. Only blemish was a 7-2 loss to #13 College of New Jersey. Good start for the Cougars and will be looking to build on it next weekend in St. Louis against Webster and Wartburg.

Any predicted standings for the NAC? I know preseason it was Aurora, Edgewood, and Concordia-Chicago as the top three. Any changes?

I'm awfully surprised Lakeland got picked ninth. This is a team who finished fifth last year with a super young team and took two of three from Edgewood last year (Edgewood only lost 4 in conference all season). They will be a sleeper this year. They have plenty of talent returning (only one season long starter was lost) and their pitching should be much better. Their offense is going to be their strong suit, though, and could make some noise.
How good is this conference altogether though? Edgewood, the LMC's best, slips to second because of Aurora. You have two World Series trips in the last five years (Aurora last year and Lakeland in 2002) and a near miss by Edgewood two years ago. Dominican won the tournament last year with a super young team, and the team's two best pitchers return.
This has to be the strongest out of any of the sports the NathCon offers.
I believe it was Concordia that won the NIIC tournament last year who has their top pitchers back after only losing 2 seniors. Concordia did however lose two starters who are not returning to the team this year. With a deep bench CUC is bound to compete in the NAC
