Finally... a result I had been hoping for.  One more, VWC!

Add about a pound per day of Maytag blue cheese and you would just about have it.  I'm already assuming he washed those burritos down with the cheapest American cerveza sold.  Perhaps a 2 year old Iron City?

All I will say is that it will be a good game.  I refuse to put foot in mouth trying to predict the winner of the game (a lesson learned from an ASC poster earlier this week).

:P

Say, where is that poster? ???

I miss that guy. ;) ;D
Airborne was actually pretty good about showing up for some good natured kidding, but I bet he's still finishing off a big helping of crow and humble pie.  It takes a while to digest a meal such as that!  :)
No, I'm finished now. The air has even cleared, so those around me can breathe again.  Ever smell crow after a trip through the human digestive system?

Yeah, yeah. Sure you do.  ;D I'm still here, but it has taken me a while to get over the disgusting diet I was gorging myself on a week ago. With my history here you guys don't want to know who I'm pulling for this weekend.

Well, thanks for that. And please recognize that my main disappointment is not that the Choctaws had to play in a hostile environment when they were deserving of better (although that's a very, very close second), but that by having to do so they were far less than their best. You guys would have seen a great game. I'm sure that the VWC fans would have rather seen a barn-burner like the first game rather than the one-sided victory they did see. My favorite victories are always the close one, and I don't think I'm unique that way.

Did I mean to say "eating crow?" Either way, it tastes awful and I was seriously wrong about VWC. But I'm still hoping that the Quakers will pull off the upset and represent the ODAC in Salem. Note that I said "hoping" and not "predicting", so you Guilford guys that are less than impressed with my ability to predict outcomes can rest a little easier. I'm not picking them to win, I'm just hoping that they will do so.

I am eating some serious (and unsavory) humble pie this morning. That was quite a dismantling. But the most disappointing thing of all is that the Choctaws you guys saw in VBch were not the same Choctaws that won 27 games this year. They were clearly dominated by the fish in this game, but it is unfortunate that they didn't play their best because they are a great team, and you would have seen a much better game if they were at their best. I wish we could have seen this matchup in Salem in front of a (somewhat) neutral crowd. I'm guessing that the VWC crowd got them back on their heels and that they were totally psyched out of the game. I'm sure that with the nail biting finish of the first game, the Batten crowd was in a frenzy by the time they tipped off the second game. Is that they way that you guys saw it? The hurtful part of the MC loss is that next season doesn't look as bright as this year. Six of their top eight players are seniors, the other two juniors. This was definitely their year. Maybe some more JuCo's will help next year.

Hey Where is that Airborne guy now????
Uh, that would be ... hiding. Good wins for both ODAC teams. I wish I'd been there to see both games (especially the first one).

Yada, yada, yada... I can take the heat. And you will be feeling the heat from me when VWC loses in a few days.

Must be that VWC education.

If you're trying to get noticed, you're doing a good job. Then again if you drop your pants in a crowd you will get some attention. Please remind me, what diploma mill did you graduate from and how does that qualify you to take shots at VW?
Jeez, how many times must I apologize for this comment? And if I must respond to the insulting question you pose about the "diploma mill" I graduated from, let me just say that it was one with exponentially higher academic standards than VWC.

Lighten up, fan. I never said that VWC didn't have a chance. In fact, I said it would be a great game. You seem to be bent out of shape because I would have the impertinence to predict that they would lose. Maybe YOU should go back and read my posts. This is a forum for discussion, isn't it? If you want love letters, find a pen pal. I think you're a little too sensitive.

You were the one that initiated the personal attack by questioning my business comprehension. You just happened to make a glaring grammatical mistake in the very sentence in which you did so. The opportunity was far too great for me to pass up under the circumstances, and I've already apologized for the cheap shot at your beloved VWC and the education you received there.

And by the way, you have miscalculated my allegiance entirely.

And, oh yeah... GO CHOCTAWS!

On a neutral floor I might go with the 5+.  In Clinton (where it should be) the 12 doesn't sound improbable.  As is, I'd call it a toss-up, and a 'crime' that it is occurring at least one round earlier than it should!
I agree with every word of this, especially that these two teams shouldn't be playing so early in the tournament. But I do think that VWC can be beaten at home, even if it has been a while since that happened. They needed some miracles to pull out a couple of wins at home this year, and against teams significantly less capable than MC. If MC takes it to them and doesn't let up, the VWC fans will be taken out of it. I think that's the best hope for MC; to get a big lead and to not let VWC back into it.

That's sad. It really is. This is a basketball game; no one wants to trade personal insults with you.
You're absolutely right, and when HE initiated the exchange by questioning my business savvy, I reacted badly. My apologies to all VWC fans. I still say that you'll all be disappointed this weekend. JAF02 is right though about it being a good game. I wish I could be there to see it.
