Then there's this tweet this morning from Dorton:

"TenaciousD17: Haha, I'm the one getting the last laugh...all because I kept my composure and did my job. Some people in this world just don't get it. #17"

I'm guessing walk-on:

But this says signed:

Regardless, his college TOTALS (as set forth on his father's business website) were 15 catches for 131 yards and 2 TDs.

It appears Mr. Dorton isn't as pro-Emory as social media would lead one to believe:

I can honestly say that the majority of us alumni are shocked about the allegations and everyone I have talked to was unaware that anything of this sort was going on.  The timing for the news to get released doesn't make sense, nor how it got out.  If you do a social media search on the kid, he is very (or at least appears to be) very pro-Emory.

I played for Emory from 2003-2006.  I know that in the 2005 and 2006 seasons, after Montgomery took over for Wacker, there wasn't anybody getting that type of "scholarship."  I can't speak to the seasons after that.  Regardless, whether true or not, all of this is highly embarrassing and doesn't help Coach Newsome in turning the program around.

Football Scoop is reporting that Montgomery is in consideration for the Westminster job.

Scots13, I just don't see it happening. Doesn't seem like a good fit to me. I've been wrong before though, so we'll see.

Today's presser, for those that are interested.

There's a new sheriff in Emory that'll be announced tomorrow.

Hokie, Hokie, Hokie, Hi...

If we don't get Ginn, Newsome, or Mack Brown, I wonder if Coach Favret would be interested. ;D

The only two names I've heard mentioned as potential targets so far are Jack Ginn and Curt Newsome.  Supposedly we're doing another national search this time around.

Christ on a cracker, these hits hurt my teeth to watch. Still impressed with what Sydney did out West.

Word on the street is that Montgomery is out at E&H after nine seasons.

Emory 15-14 over Catholic. Great win for the Waspers.

Does anyone else see the humor and the (slight) irony in the Stokeley Fulton Award going to a player from Emory and the Lou Wacker Award going to a player from H-SC?  I only say slightly ironic given Coach Wacker's tenure at H-SC.
