I can't speak for the other teams but UWP is starting on the 18th because the first week of the season is a bye week for them.  Their season opener is not until the 8th of Sept.

Sak,

I believe the only UW school that has a discount for Illinois is Platteville.  It is called the TSI (Tri-State Initiative).  IL students end up paying approx $4000 more per year than WI residents.  :-\  That is still $4000 less than the out of state amount.   :)

There is a general reciprocity agreement for all UW schools with the likes of MN, IA, SD?   but IL is not included in that.

For those of us new to the WIAC, I would like to get a list of places to stay, eat, or even see while we are out at your schools.

If you have any recommendations on hotels, restaurants, pizza places, bars, etc. etc. for parents who are attending away games it would be great.   I'd also welcome any advise on places to avoid.   ;)

Lastly, maybe there is some place or something that your school is know for, that we must see or try while we are there.

Any information would be great!

I learned yesterday that UWP will play ST Ambrose of Davenport on 09/08/07, to fill out the 10 game schedule. the Fighting Bees were 10-1 last year only losing in the NAIA playoffs. God Bless!

This should be a good matchup.  The first two games (St. Ambrose and Drake) should better prepare them for the conference games.   Sorry to see them losing Drake after next year.
