Does anyone have any info about Beav and Raeb regarding the next level?? Were any scouts at practice this year? Have they hired agents? All Star games?? I would think with how good the WIAC were represented last year after sending 4 guys to camp, these guys could possibly get a look?? any other guys from other teams with a shot? Thanks

Gosh it sure is nice to be agreeing with Goo these days.. It's hard to argue with a guy who has been calling it on the nuts lately.. I sincerely believe that if anyone thinks MHB is going to come into the Perk and keep it within 14 points is CRAZY.. Regardless of how fast their RB's are, it simply doesn't matter when there aren't holes to run through. AJ, Borz and the boys will be more than ready to shut them down. I predict Beav will get 0 carries in the 4th quarter.

Speed does mean a lot for some wide receivers, however you can be a great WR even if you lack the 4.3 4.4 speed. A great example would be Jerry Rice, Michael Irvin, Sterling Sharpe, Hines Ward, and many more. All of these guys were reported to have ran at their fastest in the 4.5-4.6 range.. Antwon Boldin of the Arizona Cardinals is a great young WR, and everyone remembers his 4.71 40 at the NFL combine. But guys like, TO, Moss, Chad Johnson are an example of guys w/ blazing speed that are also elite WR's. Speed definitely helps, but is not crucial to being a GREAT WR.

Stanley was fast, but he was definitely quicker than he was fast.. At his workout last spring for the Dolphins and Packers he ran a 4.56 40.. The two Stout boys both ran faster 40's.. Goes to show that the 40 time does not often corelate to production on the field, as he is the only one still with an NFL organization.

I stand corrected, there have been players to turn down D1 offers to play D2 or D3. I just find it hard to believe if it kid in Texas is that fast, he would have turned down offers from the likes of Texas or Texas Tech.. However, as Captain says, kids have to go with a place that feels like home to them. My bad!!

NOT at all buying a 4.2 40 by any football player in D3. There is such a huge difference from a coach timing an athlete with a hand held stop watch as compared to them getting officially timed at a combine or pro day.. In most cases they use an electronic timing system which totally eliminates the possibility of human error. Lets just remember Adrian Peterson ran a true 4.39 and 4.40 at the NFL combine, and we all know how fast he is.. So to say the MHB back runs in the 4.2-4.3 range is quite hilarious.. One more thing.. NO athlete in Texas or any other state declines D1 offers to play football out of high school.. WW 28-7..

Congrats to Jim Leszczynski, a former standout Hawk WR for signing with the Milwaukee Bonecrushers. The Bonecrushers are a new professional arena football team that will be playing it's first season in 2008 in the CIFL. The Bonecrushers are going to be coached by Gilbert Brown, a former Green Bay Packer defensive lineman. Jim was not only an amazing player and teammate, he was also a great student!! I'd say "argueably" the best WR in Warhawk history.. Goo, 96Warhawk, Voice, where would you guys rank Jim compared to Stanley and Mrkvicka?? All three are GREAT players.

Was at the game today.. WOW, did we dominate those little Giants.. I knew we would win comfortably but wasn't expecting this.. I truly believe Wabash finishes near the basement in the WIAC. How about Mr Pittz racking up more yards on the same amount of carries as the Beav. Our O-line is so dominate, I feel we wouldn't skip a beat with either back in there..

Good Point Goo.. But you were at that game, what a clinic Scotty put on for us?? Anyways, I see your point, Trey could definitely be considered. Now, Little Giants fans.. I'm sorry.. but I have to think its going to be a blow out this Saturday at the Perk.. 49-14, maybe 49-21.. It will be a fun game to watch!!

I played with Trey, yes he was a good D3 corner, however nowhere near as good as Tony Beckam from Stout. And I do remember LaX throwing at him all game when Mr. Burnoski had 4td's and near 200 yards receiving.. I do not believe he belongs on the all WIAC list.

Goo, You need to stop running your mouth on here. You are making the rest of us Proud Warhawk Alums look bad. I sincerely apologize to any offended St. John fans. Your program has been among the best for a very long time and I believe it will stay that way. Until we win the Championship, we will not be considered in the same class. (finally, there are others that believe Goo needs to sit on his hands)

Ok Dawarhawksrock, your soccer comments are getting a bit old.. It was kind of funny the first time Goo said it, but your inability to come up with your own material is rather pathetic. Anyways, from the way you talk I'm not so sure you should be consuming adult beverages. As for attending a soccer game this weekend, it probably won't happen.. I'll be at the Perk, like I am about 99% of the time the Hawks play at home. Go Hawks!!

Just one more "stat" since somebody LOVES THEM.. Hall averaged 157 yards of offense/game as compared to Anderson who averaged 151...

Oh Goo.. If you look at what I wrote a couple posts ago, I said Jace was "solid" player. I never said he wasn't a good LB in this league, just by no means believe he is a top 6 LB. And according to the "stats" my statement would have some backing to it. Oh yea, I looked up some more stats and when RF played LX, Hall had 186 on 26 while Anderson had 136 on 38 carries. Looks like Mr. Hall outplayed him. Now Mr. Goo, please keep responding because I get great pleasure in reading your posts. Wow, how did you get to skip the English courses at Whitewater?? Perhaps you shouldn't have!! Also, please don't ever coach football.. Because regardless of where you were coaching, I'm sure all 11 of your offensive and defensive players would be deserving of all conference accolades. Maybe you should sit on your hands..
