Thanks retagent,
You are right the UMHB game will be the toughest regular season game while the stagg bowl against the Raiders will eb the toughest. As they have two studs on offesne in the top players in D3 football at WR, and RB.

I stand corrected on the mis information I was given about WW's winning streak against shkosh. However 1976 was the last time the titans won the title, and I count 2002 as a W for Oshkosh, even though they ended up having to forfeit the game. They won it on the field. As far as the whole Stan Z thing, it sure looked and sounded like he was calling the plays or maybe just being the loud potty mouth person he is while sitting in the pressbox using a lot of four letter words. Some things never change.
As far as Whiewater they are focused on the pointers. It's one game at a time. UMHB will be by far their toughest game this year during thwe regular season. While the stagg bowl against Mt. Union will be by far the toughest., but they are focused on the Pointers and the high school field they play at.
The lack of a big play passign game mainly has to do with the fact that Derek Stanley is know in the NFL,and he along with Pete Schmidt were were the big play threats through the air. It also looks like Danny Jones is more of a runner then Jacobs was and dosen't have the arm that Jacobs had either to launch it down field,as he rolls out and then doesn't know if he should throw it or run it.
As far as the running game goes I am not sure why they are having problems, they return four of five lineman not to mention the second best back in d3 football next to the kid at Mount Union in Beaver.
Yes I expect the Hawks to be back in Salem come December. Hopfully the Raiders will be there again. However if the raiders don't make it that will sure increase the Hawks chances as the raiders have own Whitewater since they started playing in 2002.
[move]GO HAWKS 2007 WIAC CHAMPS AGAIN[/move]

The Warhawks dominated the titans again today. Not counting the forfeit win in 2002 the Titans have not beaten UWW since 1976.
The offense did spudder a little bit as they went very conservative with 3 time outs at the end of the first half. I had to wodner if Barry Alvarez was coaching the team,as thats somethign he would have done taken two time outs into the locker room with him.Special teams was UGLIER then UGLY, and need to be fixed.
The Defense was ocne again steller. Two weeks in a row.The high light of last week was watchign good old coach Z walk away from UWW upset as his O for UWRF got shut down, byu his good old buddy Brian Borland"Thats a joke as they two have not talked since the fall of 2005 when Borland said he was going for the head job.
Okay next week will be another fantastic W for the Hawks, and get them ready for the big show down with Mary Hardin Baylor as if they beat them they will be back at #2 in the polls and almost guaranteed a #1 seed for the playoffs without having to travel except to the stagg bowl.
GO HAWKS OR GO HOME

Everyone take a chill pill the WIAC starts this saturday
Hey it was a non conference game and it was against a division two team, so they were playing kids who get scholarshis while they play the game for the love of the game. Was it faif but thats what happens when you are the 2nd best team in the country back to back years.
I am sure coach Lance and staff have corrected the mistkes and have made the proper adjustments, and I have no fear that the Hawks will win on Saturday.
Yes the O lost Bruise,Max,D-Stan and P. Schmidt. However they have a back who is by far the second best back in d3 football and the third best player I have ever sen play. 1.Garcone2. Kamirc or whatever his name is RB from MU and then 3. Beaver
Garcone is unstoppable it showed against UWW
Kamirc ran through walls it showed against UWW
Beaver if he was healthy all year it would have been a lil more productive offense in the stagg bowl for the hawks.
However that was last year and it's a new year, and a new era in warhawk football
BEAVER IS BACK
LANCE IS HEAR TO LEAD THE WAY
Finally VOICE is back on the air  :) :) :) :)
IGO WARHAWKS GO BEAT THE BLU-GOLDS.

Congrats to all of the Wiac winners. It looks like Whitewater will have a new rushing leader after the saint cloud game in two weeks.
It also looks like the CHAMPS DA PURPLE RAIDERS are ready to bring home the stagg bowl trophy as they set a NCAA D3 record scoring 52 points in one quarter.
However we will have to wait till December to see if they will be crown champs again. I would put my money on it if I was a betting man.

There are quite a few schools who play high school football on saturdays in the fall. Just gotta check the schedules.
I am nto sure where all of you are from but down in the rich subburbs of Milwaukee if the parents aren't happy they go to the AD's and not the coaches. or worse yet their friends on the school board to get the coaches on the hot seat. It mgiht not happen other places but in the Milwaukee and Waukesha area I have seen a lot of good high school coaches get fired because bobby's mom doesn't like the fact that Bobby is getting yelled at and then thins coach T is a horrible coach.
Like I said it might not happen in places like Whitewater or Racine or Kenosha but it happens alot up in Milwaukee and Waukesha.
But then again even some colleges in Wisconsin let the big time money giving boosters pick the new head coach. Because if they didn't Stan would still be at U DUB-DUB.

Fred,
I didn't know that they went back to him three times. I am just wonderign ho the coaches at Beloit Memorial will feel if something happesn, and parents are upset and Stan was not at the game as the AD because he was at River Falls.
I know I would not have much confidence in my AD if he gets a call from jane doe because she is upset her son joey got benched on saturday and the AD wasn't even there to see why. Can't get the whole story when you weren't there to see what happen.

Fred
Thanks for the update. thats very interestign seeing he might need to be at two places at once. A Beloit Memorial High School event which they maybe having on a saturday, which the AD's need to be at even at the high school level.Especially ones who have never been an AD before. As well as at the UWRF games.
I know Z is a great gouy, and spent a heck of a lot of time at the office at UWW New years eve,New Years Day,Mothers Day,4th of July. However how he is going to be able to be at two places at once. That is a mystery to me. As he is good but he is not that good.

Pat, I already have that as my background on my computer. Like I said that was one of the greatest runs I have ever een in a college game.
I am not even sure if Derek Stanley could have stopped him on that one.

Pat,
My bad all I remeber is him making the Warhawk defense look silly, the play where he dived into the end zone was one of the greatest plays I have seen a college athlwete make.
Anyways. How Larry Kehres and MU got him to come to Alliance is still a mystery to me. He was the best player on the field in the stagg bowl, and was bvoious ahead of the rest of the players who suited up that day.
Simply put HE WAS A MAN AMONG VERY SMALL CHILDREN

Hey uww, oww or www. It's okay with me. It's where I graduated from. As far as Mount Union let's just refer to the as the CHAMPS, because thats what they are.It is also unbelievable how their coaches got #2 to come to Alliance Ohio from Miami Florida. Anyone who has ever been to Alliance knows that there is nothing in that town.Just like in Whitewater. However they got him their they did a good job. He was a man among boys in the stagg bowl last December.

Wow seven months ago people were talking about how coach Zweifel got "screwed" by WW. Know in a way but not so much UWRF has the same thing happen to them. Okay not really.
Maybe this is the best thing for him.
I know coach Lance asked him to stay numerous times, and even told the players that he wanted him to stay at his first meeting as head coach.
I guess you could say that it is a step up as it is in administration, and being an administrator at any level is a step up on being a coach.
Oh well best of luck to him,in his knew job. I know one thing that beign AD he will have to be at all the sporting events and everything else. Whcih willd efinitely be interesting for him, as he has been football, football, football for over thrity years.

I don't care if the officials screwed up or not. The Eagles were up 20-6,and some poor play allowed the Hawks to get back into that game. Mainly on special teams as I recall.
Also if a team is in prevent defense, and there are three defenders around one WR. How does the WR cme down with the ball ????
As my high school baseball coach once told us Umpires, and officials don't lose games. Players do. Do they make mistakes yes, but it is the job of the players to overcome those mistakes and keep their poise when mistakes are made. The officials are human.
When the game was over their was a lot of throwing of helmets by a certain team in White, along wth fights almost starting. Heck coach Brez was surprised a fight didn't start.
All I remember is that after it was won Captain Flanagan said while being pulled of the field,by assistant coaches. Next time knock the ball down and you might win. ;) ;) ;)
Like I said I don't care if the officials screwed up. THE HAWKS WON. Just like three weeks later Oshkosh won,and even though they had to forfeit the entire season. They still won the game where it counts ON THE FIELD, and this is comign from a diehard Whitewater fan. However I also believe that the games are won on the field by the player or lost on the field by the players. No one else.Coaches,Officials scoreboard game clock operators, or anyone else.
Also Voice you were the ebst radio guy the Hawks ever had.

Yes Pat that would be the game. You seize to amaze me Mr. Coleman, you are the man.

WWarhawk96,
What about the hailMary game against LaCrosse where after the Hawks pulled it out in Overtime, the Lacrosse coaches and players were crying like lil babies who lost their binkies.
Yeah the referees screwed up, but they are human and thats part of the game as I recall the Eagles were up 20-6 at one point in the second half, and the Warhawks and captainkurt and the special teams lead the comeback. To set up SURE THING.
That to me was one of the most exciting games ever because how many times will you see a hail mary pass actually work??? I have seen two Michigan vs Colorado, and UWW-UW-L.
The stagg bowl's were exciting however not for the warhawls just for those darn purple cladded wearing people from Ohio
