Linfield did an outstanding job hosting the tournament.  The staff was in abundance and friendly.  They even swept the bleachers between each game. 
The home town crowd had the stands full to cheer George Fox  on and they were all friendly. 

And it was also nice that the Linfield "balcony crowd" watched the games and were all rooting for CHAPMAN They even came down to the bus after Chapman beat Pomona.

Regents1    you are new to the boards...... Chapman is known on the Boards as the SCIAC co champs.... its there nick name.   I guess since they get the honor of going to the regionals with a SCIAC team.

I don't know if the committee wants to break up the conference bids by sending CalLU or Chapman some where else, but it would be a good thing.

Ralph - if the committee does breakup the conference bids,  how do they determine which team to send??  Do they base it on pool bid or W-L record?? 

If it is based on pool bid, would they send C since it is the lowest pool??  And where do you think  the team be sent too if not Linfield?

Oh no, I didnt mean for it to sound like it's not a good match-up cause it is.  They just played recently and it would be nice to have 3 games with teams that hadn't faced each other this year.  I think it will be a great game, and could be an upset.

I hear ya..... they just played each other in their own backyard and it would more exciting watching two teams that haven't seen each.  And the teams from up North don't know that you have to pitch around Hedman and also stay clear of Mandelblatt.

Chapman plays Univer of Dallas next weekend - they are also Independent.  Isn't Dallas in the mix??

Big weekend for PP and Cal Lu. 

Words of advise for Cal Lu when they play @ PP's field:  PP has several lefties and they take FULL advantage of the SHORT Rt field fence.  Cal Lu needs to pitch outside to these guys and help hold Hedman to a minimum.

PP's pitchers stay inside on Rt handed batters, & outside on lefties so they can't take advantage of the SHORT fence.  They even have the first baseman playing way over towards second since they don't give the left side of the plate up.

This is ALL great info!!  In regards to a Pool B Bid - are all the Independents "lumped" into one category and the one with the best record gets into the Regional Playoffs??

New England:  University of Maine Presque Isle
West: Cal State East Bay; Chapman; Dallas; Menlo

So there are only 8 Independents??
