Well I must say I was very impressed with the WW game last weekend. Both sides of the ball played a great game LAX turned it on early. The team that came out to play for WW the second half was outstanding the D forcing turnovers and the O putting up the points Danny Jones had great composure and spoken before played like a true champion with a starting running back out and a lot of  HEART lead the team to victory. And way to step up Anderson and pull through and lets not forget about the receiving core... My hat goes off to WW great job guys. LAX Better luck next year you played an awesome game as well. Go Hawks.......

Yes I agree the match up on paper and last years performance puts this game in a close grid lock....But.. I think this offense has been sputtering a little to get started and I think that when they are all in tune it will be a shock to a lot of people how well they perform. Truth be told we have seen some good games from them but still out of step here and there. So I base my whole blow out prediction on the fact of them putting it all together this weekend and catching LAX D with their pants down. Given they will not take WW lightly but I think they will put em all in the box and force the pass. WW will answer. Yes the whole reloading of each team....Must be great bars in both towns you got kids from all over...this year. LOL ;)

I love the unconditional faith that some of us Warhawks have but being a realist, this game will probably not be a blowout. This is the same LAX team that almost beat us in 2006 in the playoffs. Warhawks win with a goaline stand on 4th and short;)

btw I see Mike Ferron is having a heck of a year so far. You guys really lucked out with that transfer. What do you Pointers think about him?

I totally agree, 96.  I sure don't anticipate a blow out but I hope your prediction isn't true either.  Don't think my heart could take it.  But just a reminder that this is not the same LAX team that played us tough in the 06 play-offs.  I believe they lost a fair amount of talent to graduation as well, just like the Hawks.  We will see who was the most successful at reloading.  You know, given LAX's great bars and all. ;D

...I can vouch for those cute girls from La Crosse being a great recruiting weapon...I married one!!

LOL man.....Old Indian--------Ya thats the first thing i hear from kids now a days ...I am going to what ever school has good bars...alot of drunk uneducated girls running around and a run down stadium...That will be "re built in 2years" HA...! Glad you have alot of pride in your team but for best interest of your team dont put thier reputation on bars and girls....SAD.... Anyways good luck to you guys next week. Mark my words this game is going to be a blow out. i know it sounds a little one sided but this Offense is finally coming together and looking good. The D well not much you can say they do an outstanding job.! WW Offense is going to be to much to handle. The run game will be in full swing like always but look for the pass cause Jones is going to light it up with his WR core and him getting their timing down..

Oh yea and how about old Bret....One more TD..!

I really think this Whitewater team is going to suprise alot of people this year Mount U. right now i would give them that edge but as this team starts to put it in gear that visual gap you were showing will close in. These kids are very talented and very hungry. Look for them to air it out early and pound the rock late to seal the deal. Mount U. look out.

The Warhawk O looked good over the weekend just starting to get the timing down great run to pass ratio. I can say this is only the start of the steam roller.....GO HAWKS....!

AND OH YA ..................Go WARHAWKS

I thought the Hawks looked good just a few minor issues to address and a few changes to be made and they are very strong team. These kids are going to put together a outstanding season with a lot of big offensive games. I think the critics are being a little to critical out the gate. WW is not used to losing they took it hard and fingers start pointing. I would look for this home opener to set the tone for the season :D ;D :D ;D

Bottom line there were a lot of mistakes made by WW on sat. And the other team did what they were supposed to by taking advantage of the mistakes made. As far as the whole Jones thing goes yea not his best game ever a lot of contributing factors came into play dropped balls some huge hits a few bad passes a minor injury at the start of the game. I have seen this kid light it up and he does have the ability to put on a show as Justin Beaver. ( Gotta Hand To Justin That Kid Can Run ) The one thing that stood out in my mind through out the game was the leadership on the team from start to finish WW never gave up even when they had an unlucky bounce they were constantly pushing and Jones never gave up that team has  Heart and drive to win. That kind of determination with all the talent they have is a very dangerous combo....Look for that Offense to light it up next week... ;D ;D ;D

I think its huge if your putting a 110% and getting 75% back.......Seems like simple logic to me to go to a team where that 110% is returned.
Ever take into consideration the fact that O – coordinator was applying for the job at UWW when this all came about?

There's no reason to throw the CLU players under the bus to justify the move (it's a bit strange how you say they had camaraderie "bar none above and beyond" over the past 3 years but now all of a sudden lack dedication).  It seems pretty clear that Danny simply found a situation he likes better.

I was never throwing anyone under the bus....Just like I said before I was putting things in prespective. Simply saying that It did not seem like a selfish move to me what so ever.  I love CLU and I think the players are outstanding and like I said before the whole team was kinda left high and dry with out a coach. which put nothing but ? ??? marks hanging above the players. That alone could have an effect on the camaraderie of the team. Yes and I say lack of dedication when you only have a handful of guys showing up for spring ball.
Me being a coach that would really upset me and like FIGHT ULV said before i would drop the F bomb real qucik. Anyways seems to me like we are beating a dead......how does that saying go? tmerton.....or is it horse? ;D  ;) ;D ;) I cant wait to watch CLU play this year the competition is going to be great........

Go....Warriors.... ;D

I've heard that Ankeny doesn't want the players to cuss. That's tough for a La Verne guy to do. I would have only lasted about 5 minutes before the first F bomb came out

Yea about 5mins sounds right
