Probably true, but I think character and brains are underrated assets by MLB scouts and front offices. Whether a different type of player would reduce attendance is unknown and never to be known because the selection mind set seems unlikely to change. Though I do think we will see more baseball players with legal and social troubles akin to those of football and basketball players.

Also playing with Jordan is Justin Arminger (Salisbury) and Bryan Burke (Kean).

Kean players in the Independent leagues: Joe Augustine and Danny Zeffiro are pitching for the Southern Illinois Miners of the Frontier League; Maikel De La Rosa was released June 17 by the Midwest Sliders of the Frontier League; and Bryan Burke is again playing CF for the Texarkana Gunslingers of the Continental Baseball League.

Not an all tournament "team" in the true sense (and it never is) but a selection of players who had a big impact.

No, you can't argue with the selections, but what about the omissions? I understand ignoring Labrozzi of Farmingdale (2 and out is always ignored, right?) but why ignore  Lehman (Chapman) or Zavistovsky (Kane)?

with the release of the new regional rankings, does anyone think the ANCC could get two teams into the Mid-Atlantic Regional?

I thought the ABCA regional teams weren't going to be released until Tuesday or Wednesday. What about the other regions?

Doug Coe from Stevens Point is the best player in D3 hands down.

Very nice numbers, consitent season, but not enough to be "hands down" the best player in D3. And let's all be real: Derek David had a sick power season (which fuels the rb and runs numbers) and excellent other offensive numbers. May not be five tools (seems that he has below verage speed) but still had a POY season.

The playoffs have been excellent. three tight games. today should continue the process if the weather holds.

Kean v TCNJ Saturday -- Two excellent games, well pitched and great defense. Kean swept and won the NJAC regular season. Now the playoffs!!!

Montclair's loss to WP today creates a four way tie for first with 3 games to go. Three of those teams (Kean, Rowan, and TCNJ) ranked in the region top 6. The playoffs will mean the world this year, I think.
