Thanks Pat.  Wow.  I played at DePauw 1981 to 1984.  Never really paid much attention to tickets back then because they were given to us.  If you needed more, you just asked your teammate who wasn't using his.  After I graduated, I went to Monon games until the early mid 90's and then we moved out of the area.  I didn't attend until my son started playing in 2007.  Have been going to home games ever since.  In all those years, I never had a problem finding a ticket or two.  To have those sell out in 2 hours is crazy.  It usually takes 2 weeks or more.  Glad I got mine.

I haven't posted on this site since my son last played for DePauw in 2010.  But I have been attending all Monon home games since then and even some games at Wabash.  At 10AM, tickets went on sale for Monon.  I went online at 1002 and ALL parking passes are already gone except the oversize lot.  I called to check that it was real and talked to an Associate AD who said it was.  I have never ever seen that.  Either DePauw is restricting parking (which is certainly possible) or this game is as popular as it's ever been.  We will find out if ticket sales sell out in days or less.  My point is buy your tickets now if you plan to attend the game.

Hope all is well.  Will arrive Friday evening into Indy.  No RV this year.  84 grad will have a tent set up in lower lot with plenty of food and drink.  Look forward to seeing you guys.  I am assuming you will have same RV venue as always.  Will look for you on Friday night in the Peeler lot.  Joe

Disagree on Page.......glad he is gone.  They need some progressive thinking in that role.  No reason why the facilities suck, etc.  I struggle with his ability to raise money.  I hope I am wrong.  Don't know if this was in the release, but Lacrosse was added as a full-time men and women's sport.  I think that starts in '12.  Not posting anymore, but wanted to ring in on this.  I will watch DPU from afar this year.  Would like to go to more than one home game, but there are only three.  Nice job on that front Page.  Old Gold is a soccer game.  Ha.  Will be there for Monon.
DePauw will be OK this year.  I like Schweir at QB.  He will provide a dimension that DePauw hasn't had in the 4 yrs Thomas played - mobility.  I guess they are spreading it out and running the spread.  Backfield will be fine.  I understand they got a transfer from a D1 program who is legit.  Receiving corps will be decent, but a drop off from years past.  Line returns 2 starters.  Lewis Brown is a stud and beats people up.  But, there is zero depth in this area.  I hope they bring in some freshman who can play.  Defense will be interesting.  LBs may be very good.  They have some kids who can play.  DBs will be OK.  They return 2 kids that can play.  Others have experience, but not sure they are ready to be starters.  D-line, like the O-Line has no depth.  Really, really like Fultz.  After that, not much to talk about.  Schedule works in their favor except for lack of home games.  Good luck Tigers.

B'bear and Danny Boy, may need some help to secure enough parking spots this weekend for player parents to tailgate.  Thinking we park the RVs back to back across parking spots to secure about 10 spaces for the regular "Back Row" tailgaters from DePauw's lot.  Then we can move them in the morning as they start to arrive.  I get there around 2 PM EST tomorrow.  When will you guys get there.
Let me know.

Purely a guess, 10 across 25 years.  Most recently, last 4 from Eastern PA.

Danny Boy, I am here.  I am waiting for Wabash's SID to post the details on where we are tailgating.  I sent him an email last week and he responded that he was working on it and that he would email me today when it is posted.  So far, nothing.  I don't know if anybody else has any details yet.  I assume we will be in the Fine Arts lot again, but nothing confirmed.
We will arrive with the RV at 2ish on Friday, assuming we can get into the lot.  All I was planning on doing was parking the RV, dropping off the stuff, and leaving.  Let me know when you arrive.  I would love to have a cocktail with you and DaBear.
We will return on Saturday around 8 and we have breakfast ready at 9.  We will have about 70 plus there.  I just got a cancellation due to York HS girl's volleyball being in the IHSA finals.  So, I have at least 7 extra tickets if you need any (or anyone else).  Post on here or email me at jwrona@earthlink.net.

I thought I read 4000 released to DPU.  I can't find it now.  Maybe it was in the DePauw paper I read this weekend.  I think DPU usually keeps several 100 back for VIPs.  So maybe each school had 5000.  As of yesterday, 800 remain.  That surprises me.  Usually DPU sells out in a week or less.

I think all the weather is to the north.  At 10 AM it's sunny with plenty of clouds, but no wind so far.

Looking forward to a good game.

Agree with Ryan on the intimidation factor - they have played the top team and another in the top 15.  Also agree that this could be a close game.  However, Adrian is NOT a passing team.  They run twice as much as they throw.  We will see.  If DePauw does win and wins handily, I expect Ryan will start to show DPU some deserved love in the poll.

Saw Wabash allotment of tickets are already on sale.  Any idea when DPUs will go on sale ?  They usually happen at the same time.

B'Bear, are you coming to the game this year ?  With an RV ?  I can save you a spot.

For more accurate stats on the DPU-Millsaps game, look at the ones posted on DePauw's website.  I can't explain what the Millsaps stats say.  There are stats for players who did not travel, Derrick's 70 plus yards lost rushing, and the penalty yards issue, at least.
Millsaps is a talented team.  Penalties, kicking game, and other oddities killed them.  Without those, it is a different game.  I have to ask why Galatas does not play every single down on offense.  Was he hurt ?  He is a game changer and more often than not, he was not on the field.  But, he was on all return teams.  So I would not think it was injury.  The call to throw the ball out of the wildcat was very strange and may have turned the game with the INT that resulted.  Up to that time, the wildcat had not worked and now you ask a player who cannot throw to throw.
Things that impressed me from DePauw's side - defensive line play may have been the best I have seen in 4 years.  Bowser had averaged 100 plus against very good teams up to that point and he had 20 or so.  DePauw had a running game.  They actually wore Millsaps' defense down as the game progressed.  Nice win.....
Finally, Will Hawkins is a football player.  He hit everything that moved and he covered nicely when DePauw passed the ball.
