Frontiercascade-

I agree with you that Aurora will be great and Welton will be MVP, but you said Rockford didn't bring in anybody.  Do me a favor and "google" the name Nick Stiggers and tell me if you think he might be a threat in this conference.

Maybe you wanted to quit because you were a bunch of whiny girls.  Just think of what players have to go through in Pat Summits program.  Things she says or does would make a d3 player cry for mommy.  But hey, she is the best coach in the history of womens basketball.

Well, all things aside, what are the thoughts on the final four teams. I really think the NIIC tourney is up for grabs.  Will home court advantage be the the determining factor?  In 2003-2004 AU beat Eureka at home, RC at Rockford, and BU at Lisle.  Could we have a 2005-2006 repeat?

Featheredfriend, considering you are the former Rockford SID, you sure like to rip on a man that has done an unbelievable job in his tenure as RCs coach.

My prediction:  AU vs. BU in conference tourney championship!

And by the way, the Regents are not a better team without Dorman.  She was back-to-back POY. Without her, they are an average team in bad conference.

Big game on Saturday between the Regents and Spartans.  It is going to be tough for Rockford to come here and win.  AU is due for a big win and I guarantee that will happen on Saturday.

Buckley stepped down.  The new coach is former Lewis Univ. assistant Michelle Roof.  Hopefully she can help bring back the days when the Spartans were winning numerous conference championships. I think she will.

Same scenario as last year.  AU travels to RC for the second round match up.  The Spartans are playing well and made CU look awful last night. This should be a great game, but look for AU to repeat last years performance and move to the Championship game.  These girls can play some ball when it matters.  Second victim, Rockford.

The real season starts tonight. Au looks to repeat last years feat.  First victim, Concordia.

There will only be 1 team in the NIIC that will make the NCAA tourney and that will be the winner of the conference tourney.  There is no way RC will make the NCAA tourney if they fail to win the conf. tourney.  The NIIC is just too weak to get 2 teams in the field.

AU! AU! AU!  The great week continues.  I told everyone at the beginning of the year that Aurora comes on strong at the end of the year. Same story different year.  The tough non-conference schedule pays off. I can't wait until the tourney starts.  AU should be a huge threat to everyone in conference. AU! AU! AU!

The only thing that will matter is who will be still playing during the first week of March. A handful of teams have a chance at winning the conference tourney.

Non-Conference doesn't mean much, the real season starts on Feb. 21.  Seven teams will start, but only one will finish.  I have a feeling AU has a good shot at repeating last years run.

Aurora is peaking at the right time.  It is extremely hard to go to Eureka and pull out a victory.  Just look at Rockford and Benedictine, they both lost at EC.  AU has a good chance at winning their last three games and finishing with an 8-4 conference record.  Gaining steam for the conference tourney
