Incarnate's football field is basically a nice high school field, baseball field is ok, softball didn't notice, basketball/volleyball facility is a bad d3 facility. Parking is horrible, attendance is worse. Will have to face the fact soon that they made a huge mistake going D1.

Rumors are circulating again about MHB moving up to D2. Not sure if its just wishes or has any validity. With ACU and IWU moving to D1 FCS, the LSC is looking to add teams. The talk is adding MHB and McMurry. Anybody else hearing anything?

Guess the commissioner of the ASC is pretty petty. This is embarrassing to treat McMurry like this. She should be fired for not caring about the student athletes on the baseball team and basically for being a spiteful idiot.
"It's kind of a strange deal," Mumme said. "The NCAA told us we could recruit like Division II, which means we could pay for visits and things like that. Then the commissioner of the ASC (Amy Carlton) came back and told us were weren't allowed to or she'd make the baseball team ineligible. That part's been kind of disgusting. I don't know what football recruiting for our first season of D-II has to do with spring sports in D-III.

I know it's a week old, but just saw the highlights of the MCM and MHB game. Horrible call by officials on the on side kick. That call decides the game.

McMurry's win was the first time in history a D3 beat a D1 in football.
Lots of disrespect before the game from UTSA fans on the Express News website chatline. Said McM was the 4th best team in Abilene. Had never heard of McMurry. Said that McM was not as good as some of the high schools in San Antonio. Well now what do you homers think.
GET YOU SOME OF THAT SAN ANTONIO!!!!!!

This was my first McM/HSU game. I enjoyed it. I tought that HSU had a great crowd, a rowdy band. It was fun to watch. The tomahawk chop was a little classless and since your not playing the Indians, it was actually kind of stupid. Mumme cussing, not a big deal, never been around a coach at any level that did not in the heat of the momnet. The punching of Warren in the stomach did happen and there is no room in football for that as well as the eye gouging by HSU players, I am really surprised by the dirty play of what I thought was a class organization. HSU was the better team on the field, but left me wondering about the lack of class.

It was McMurry's to win. The Nation really impressed, they were better than the Cru in every aspect of the game other than special teams and that was the difference. MHB was awesome on special teams and it proves how important that part of the game is.

What is the deal with Justin Johnson at McMurry? I heard that ACU would not release him, whatever that means.

McM game could have been so much worse, clock ran the whole second half, only stopped for time outs, even after touchdowns it ran, so about 2 minutes would go off between td and kickoff.

Lots of speculation of what is happening in the LSC with okie schools leaving. Some people on the D2 LSC boards are wondering if any ASC schools could make the jump to D2. Any thoughts?
