p.s. Baby Biggins you and your cronies should put down the  RPG's (role playing games not rocket propelled grenades) and get outside to excercise and get sunlight as I wasn't even mad, that was impressive...ly gross!

So since July I have lost 54 pounds. Thanks for the encouragement. Hope you have Fat Children

I'm just hoping your crew takes its act up to Collegeville this weekend so the Johnnies can laugh at you as much as I did.

Thats what we were there for. So the Gusties could have something to smile about when they play the Oles. Didn't want you to drive to Northfield for nothing.

Johnny Week!!!

I also want to say that my previous post presumes that me and the other letters had something to do with the win. I just want to correct myself by saying it was all Oles football on Saturday. Nothing to do with a bunch of regular students.

Great Preparation and Effort by the Oles and Coaching Staff.

The best part of the game was easy to pick, since the Gusties had so few highlights. Baby Biggins and his clan of shirtless nerds stood in the endzone creating stupid chants before every single play. Once involved telling Brownie to get off the field as he called his audibles. The ref promptly turned around and told these chumps to get off the field themselves. I can only guess at the type of reception they'll receive in Collegeville if they pull that next week, including circling the track after scores...

Well if you want to make stuff up thats fine. There was no case of that happening the entire. game. We were never told to get off the field. We did however tell each other, to make sure that the field was players only. Part of that GAC offensive system is for the coach to go on the field and call an audible. Its "revolutionary", but easily loses effect when the coach is disturbed by several, loud, dry campus enthusiasts.

Hope you all had a great weekend. Johnnies, everyone has a bad day. It doesn't help that the HOT (sorry, mostly oles will get that one) carls coach is a former Johnny. Also the fields meidt have been a little muddy. We all know how you guys like to play on grass.

Thanks for joining us James.  You are right, neither team can play a lick of Deee-Fense.  Shootout in Northfield!!!
Again. Not James Bechdol. Close to him though. The word baby mean anything to you

Stolp? Matt Penz puts up basically the same numbers. He is also on the bench by halfway through the 3rd quarter. I am not saying Stolp is bad. I am just saying Matt Penz is better. Stop talking about Defense. This game will be all about offense, and GAC can't run against the Oles. This entire game is on stolp's shoulders. Cya saturday.

Any of you work for the Conference? I was hoping to find out when the MIAC season preview will come out.

It might catch up with you one day when the division one and two deserters stop coming to collegeville ...

Aren't you an NDSU deserter???    :o

Ha no, I am not James Bechdol.

Oles From Florida

Yeah one of the coaches did coach at Florida. I can understand that the Johnnies don't like that about 1/4 of the Roster is coming from the south, But that is what Coach Meidt has done for this program. In a competitive conference like the MIAC you have to step up your recruiting.

After playing with these florida boys for a while I can say that these guys had a much more serious high school football experience. These guys come as freshman ready to play. Why wouldn't you recruit there? If your answer is a lack of character, then I say to you that these are some of the classiest guys I know.

Saint John's. Yes you have a great program. But how much effort is actually put into recruiting. My guess is little. It might catch up with you one day when the division one and two deserters stop coming to collegeville and there is no recruiting plan to fill the gap. Then all you have is those kids that came to saint john's just to stand on that sideline. That red sea of 200+ jerseys watching 11 Johnnies on the field for 4 years.

I don't mean to cause trouble but I feel that Oles recruiting from Florida mute issue. Meidt is looking to the future of the program. Yes we haven't broken through to the top of the MIAC in the last two seasons, But look at Saint Olaf football from 1979 to before coach Meidt. Those Oles were good men on and off the field, but maybe Meidter has brought that X-factor from the south that will make the difference for the next 20 years

Ok I am crossing over boards.

Oles versus Luther. September 1 in Northfield MN. Is Luther going to stop thinking about that comeback by the oles and get their head in THIS years game.

Also I was really happy when Luther cut out that standing DE stuff. Just to easy for the O-line to get under the pads

Hi,
Obviously from my number of posts you can tell I am new to the board. I have been reading for a while, but noticed a lack of Oles. I thought I might add a voice to their numbers.

So my question is for those other Oles or those that want to contribute. Where do you think Matt Penz will be on the career passing records after this season. He comes after a string of record setting oles, Senske and Wilsey. (I was there when Wilsey took 3rd for career passing yards). But Penz had a great 2006 season and it looks like he will do even better this year. He returns with Horace Gant and Andrew Schmiesing to throw to. Also I have never seen up and coming Ryan Saint John drop a ball. These are the top 3 while the oles have many other competent receivers.

Yes the Defense has had trouble, but look for a strong Ole Defense this season. Maybe some changes have been made...
