I have never posted on here before.  This may or may not be my last time doing so.  However, I know there is some speculation in regards to North Park Football and Scott Pethtel.  Coach P is doing everything in his power to make NPU into a program.  He is a great coach and certainly a great christain man.  He is also a very fair and hard working individual that cares a great deal about the kids in his program.  He has come in and tried to re-establish some tradition at NPU.  He has set expecations on the players there and raised the level of commitment to the program.  He has also tried to establish a better understanding around campus of how the program can benefit the University.  He has reached out to each and every former Viking to take a part in helping making NPU Football competitive in the MIGHTY CCIW.  I am not getting this info second hand as some of you may be getting your info.  I am the coach who recently found a better situation for my self professionaly and for my family.  If it had not been for that I would have loved to have stayed along with Coach P and the other coaches as they try to make NPU a winner.  Now I am not making any predictions, cause he would not appreciate that.  I do know he is eager to getting the monkey off of the programs back with winning a CCIW game.  That task will be hard, but he has a good core of kids coming back and a very good recruiting class.  He is a great guy to work for, in contrast to some that think he is not.  I appreciate what he is trying to do for the footbal program, alums and the University.  There are some very good coaches on that staff, Joe Davis is a very passionate knowledgable Offensive coordinator, Keith Kura is also a passionate coach Coach VanDen bos is a CCIW vet coach and Coach Jim Blake has some good history in the game as well.  So in time North Park should be a more competitve program.  The kids are great as well with some great leadership qualities.  So go ahead and fire away at me like i know you will.  I just had to say my peace, cause as you know as a coach i have read your comments in the past.  As a former coach in the CCIW i now can comment on some of the things i have read in hopes of not being arrogant or mispeaking for the coaching staff at NPU.
