If DePauw gets out there and starts a rain dance and the track is muddy:
Wabash 10
DePauw 14

But, since the forcast is for a "Fast Track" and Sunny:
Wabash 35
DePauw 7

There's still a lot to be decided (OPOY anybody?) and this weekend's games are important.

What a crazy year....how about the cluster over in the MIAA?  Hope, Olivet, and Alma are all 5-1 (and all likely to win their final game).  Olivet beat Hope, Hope beat Alma, Alma beat Olivet.  Go figure that one out.

How about the LL (Liberty League) 4 teams at 5-1 and two will win this week and two will loose this week (RPI @ Union; Hobart @ Rochester).  Good luck figuring that one out.  I think Rochester could get the AutoBid with 3 loses.

The final week is always crazy.

AUEagle,

Total coincidence but my neighbor played 4 years at St. Johns (graduated mid-90's) - we raz each other quite a bit during the season - especially this year since both of us are undefeated.  Has some pretty cool stories about Coach Gagliardi.  He and his wife are moving to Denver, CO after a short stint here in Indianapolis.  But before he goes, he will attend his first Wabash game this weekend - hope he digs it.
How can he not dig it!
Have him standing by the tunnel when the players are ready to come out.  I'm getting chills just thinking about it.

To bad he couldn't be here for the Bell Game.

De Pauw to HELL, we'll KEEP the BELL

Wally:
Don't you think the power to be would give a Pool C to Capital with losing 2 rather than a team from the HCAC with one loss?

And I am trying not to get ahead of myself but,

De Pauw to HELL, we'll KEEP the BELL!

After this weekend things should be a little more clear. ???
HCAC
Franklin 5-0  7-1
Mt. St. Joseph 5-1  7-1
Defiance 4-1  5-3
     Defiance @ Franklin
If the don't all end up at 6-1 in the HCAC

IBC
Concordia (Wis.) 5-1  6-3
Lakeland 5-1  5-4
Benedictine 4-2  5-4
Aurora 4-2  4-4
   Concordia @ Benedictine
   Aurora @ Lakeland
All could end up at 4-2 in the IBC

MIAA
Hope 5-0  5-3
Alma 4-1  4-4
Olivet 4-1  4-4
   Olivet @ Hope
All could end up at 5-1 in the MIAA

Regional rankings are all that will matter in seeding, for the most part.

As I see it, the North seedings now would be:
1. Mount Union
2. Wheaton (Ill.)
3. Wabash
4. Case Western Reserve
5. Franklin
6. Mount St. Joseph
7. Hope
8. Concordia / Lakeland (Don't know the IBC tie-breaker)

But, the NCAA may move it to this based on travel:

Mt. U - Mt. St. Joe
Wheaton - IBC winner
Wabash - Hope
Case - Franklin

Hope/Olivet @ #1 Mt. Union (280 - 350 miles)
Concordia/Lakeland @ #2 Wheaton (115 - 150)
Mt. St. Joes @ #3 Wabash (160 miles)
Franklin @ #4 Case Western Reserve (340 Miles)

496 Miles from Concordia to Mt. Union

I didn't realize DT Josh Gangloff (6'3 268) didn't play yesterday and he is probably our best run stopper inside - typically at nose.  Not saying that is why they ran on us but worth noting.  Credit the Scots with a nice game plan and Holter's effectiveness out of the backfield.

The Wabash juniors are now 27-3.

93 (Josh Gangloff, JR) did not practice all week.  Hope to see him in there next week at home.  Heard D-line coach (Neal Neathery) said he was missed yesterday.  I listened on-line yesterday and can't remember how many times I heard them running up the middle.  Josh is one of the many d-line that require double teaming.

That would make sense....thanks wally. Am not sure that's the case here though as it only happens a couple or three times a game and sometimes not at all. I even thought maybe it would be something you did in specific situations, like goal line defense or something, but I haven't noticed a pattern to it.

What I have noticed is this year Bash is shuffling in their NG (93-Gangloff, w/ 91-Anderson, 11-Kennon & 65-"Bubba Lange) in on first down and short yardage 2nd and 3rd.  They are going with more speed on 2nd and 3rd and long (48-Gardiner or 99-Tichenor, w/ 91-Anderson, 11-Kennon & 65-"Bubba Lange).  The other teams have been putting two on 93 or 65 which is great for 11.  What ever CC is doing it sure IS working.

Oops of course I meant NCAA not NCAC.

I'd guess the Wabash faithful wouldn't relish a first round rematch with Franklin.

Are you kidding?  The last two games vs. Franklin have been classics.  I'd love to see a rubber match.

That is what CC said after the last game.

my oldest daughter (who is in HS) was at the game with me and thought that the white pants with Wabash on the side were great (despite the fact that I thought they were ugly).

Go figure a teenager not agreeing with the parent on fashon.  I have two and the are ALWAYS rolling their eyes at what I wear.

I personally do not like the WABASH on the legs.
But atleast..
