After losing to Wilimington I don't know what to expect form JCU. I just hope it isn't another 70-0 thrashing that happened a few years back. At least last year it was a respectable game.

Petro is a great qb, but not an Arth. I can't see JCU winning this one or even keeping it within reason. Anyone else's thoughts?

In the perfect world the playoffs would include  Mount, Cap, JCU, BW, ONU every year. The problem is the NCAA won't allow that many teams from the OAC or any conference in to the tournament because they know it would be an All-OAC Final. Just like 2002 when Mt and JCU were paired in the Final Four. I just don't think that any other conference in the country can compare to the OAC.

On another note Regis is doing something right with the Blue Streaks cracking the top 25.

Long live Regis...

It is about time JCU beats BW... Congrats to Regis and everyone on getting the Cuyahoga Gold Bowl trophy back to the East Side...

Any other final scores coming in?

Messing around on JCU's new athletic site, and I forget if we mentioned it, but Brady Quinn was shoping for a new team a few weeks ago... Take a look...

I mean as JCU fan they really haven't prooved anything yet. The Wooster win was not as impressive since what happened to Woo in week 2. Againt this week shouldn't be too big of a test sorry Berg fans, but  JCU won't be tested for another week or so. But, IMO I don't think that JCU should be in the top 25 YET. But, again... It would be nice to get some recognition.

Thoughts and prayers to the community of Alliance.

Sounds like the Browns are in some trouble this year...again... Looks like the best football teams in Cleveland are JCU, BW, Case, then the Browns...

Congrats to the Berg for the victory!

Time to get into OAC play!!!

As a JCU supporter I am glad to see that Petro is playing well. I think that he is going to have an excellent year, barring any injury. I am pretty sure that he won't be cleared to play if he suffers a few more concussions. Offensively it obviously hurts losing Konrad, but it will definitely be more balanced this year, which I think will help both Kirbus and Petro since they aren't going to be keying on Konrad all the time. The RBs are ok in Gingrich and Stover, it will be interesting to see if Stover is getting more looks into the season. But fellow OACers I am going to be honest I don't think that either of them are as good as the old JCU backs Ryan DeGeorge or Brandon Oing if you remember them.

Defensively is going to be like any other year, we will be strong and one of the better defenses in the OAC. Nettling (hes a junior) can be an All-American, I think in his senior year at LB. It's going to be a fun one. I am not going to be too excited until we get deep into the schedule and play BW and Cap, etc.

The good news is hopefully the guys will be geared up to play the likes of BW (JCU Homecoming), confident in the Cap game especially after almost beating them in Uheights last year, and the defense proving that they are able to "contain" Kmic. I just don't want to see another debacle like the 55-3 JCU MUC game a couple years ago and more importantly the 70-0 game...

Should be exciting...

In Regis we trust.

Thanks for the clearification.

Kcreds,

I heard from some people who interviewed with Marietta about possible coaching positions and they told me that Marietta is having financial cutbacks within their athletic department? And that they would be cutting back a lot of money that would help with recruiting and forcing coaches to coach more than just one sport. Any truth to that?

Good to hear Trusnik is still playing strong. Congrats to him!

Woo fans sorry about that post, I had to have read something wrong. Didn't mean to get defensive or anything just thought that some people were calling Rai a ringer, which in my opinion he's not. Sorry about that post again.

I wouldn't say that Rai Stover is a 'ringer' RB he hasn't played the game for quite awhile and is in a brand new system. I know that any athlete can pick up where they left off over time, but lets be honest Woo fans you should be kinda happy you didn't seem him later in the season when he gets everything going. I would like to think by midseason he is getting most of the carries and Gingrich who started against Woo a nice compliment. By stating that his is a ringer I think is a little overexaggerated. It's not like when Petro played last year at your place you called him a 'ringer' since he did play D1 for a year...oh that's right they won that game so they won't cry that they lost... Anyways it was a good non-conference game for both JCU and Woo over the past 2 years...

JCU is changing to a different website that isn't linked with jcu.edu... jcusports.com starts on tuesday.

Gotta give Petro and the boys some credit with a great game on Saturday. What's nice for carroll is that they have two qb's this year that have expierence, in Petro and Kirbus. Tough choice for Regis and the boys, but having Petro back there with the threat of run or pass will give teams some problems.

Any update if Trusnik is going to make the practice squad?

13-0 win by CAP? Looks like life without Rocky will be... well rocky... but a win is a win. Seems like the OAC faired ok in the first week. Heard Mount is opening with App. St. next year... :D
