I agree with New Tradition.  I got into the D3 football when my son played at NCC.
It wasn't hard after 4 years of HS football to begin to enjoy the atmosphere with the CARD fans.  Although we don't have D3 near us, we do continue to follow the CARDS every Saturday just like last year---except only via radio!   IF we lived near by we WOULD BE there!  The CARDS will heal and be back better than ever.....although it was a shortened year, sometimes the hardest lessons are painful!  Makes the previous years teams undefeated year all that more impressive, and next year they will work even harder!  Lesson learned!  So, here we will just have to root on our local HS team as they did make the playoffs......

Shouldn't worry about standings either....with the playoff system in D3, its not really that big of a deal anyways!  Hopefully if your anywhere in the top 25 you would get in....the AQ is prime of course!

For the past few years the NCC fans have been saying, "hey how about something for the effort here."  There will be no money, no adulation but you will recieve total consciousness the next time you get beaten by Wheaton. ;D

Perhaps you should have chosen your words more wisely!!   Here's what we have for you, GT:

Yeah, Pulled Fanthorpe and No Sulo, plus
the D's secondary getting tired.  You
can tell it has been a passing game by
who has all the tackles...Seems like the
Cards are playing protect the lead D only!
They may put Fanthorpe back in to score
one more time??  Nope Elmhurst having a
great come back here....but not enough
time left....Cards will be 10-0!

Treglown on the tip and now Wenger has second
INT...sounds like the Cardinal D is up again!

Great plays in the bird bowl!  Who got the tip?

If you go to the front page and click on Strength of Schedule...
the first column I understand--the Opponents win %...BUT why
is there another comparison, and of what significance is the second
listing....the O-O Win %?   ???  ty

Not going to lie, a little ticked off about the poll question on the front of the page.
.

2 Things:
1) He has a point...it is a SLAM on all the CCIW teams and the conference as a whole!
How does this make Auggie feel that this comes up right after the CARDS win? Suddenly
the Cards aren't that good....based on one bad game on D?  Why can't it be because of
excellent Auggie Offense and motivation on Augustanas part to make it a great game?

2) The Cards D will bounce back.  All teams have a bad week on one side of the ball,
but GREAT teams compensate for it....That group of guys on Defense will be back
better than ever...they are way too good to have another down week anytime soon!
Not to mention I believe they have EXTRA motivation this coming week???

Yeah Cards!  Treglown (Senior) ends regular at home season
with a SACK! All D Great as usual!  Wow go Cards defense....
....but the O were THE stars today!  What a great day!  CONGRATS!

NOT much love for the CARDs in the Daily Dose...
SURPRISINGLY CLOSE GAME:
Keith's take: Augustana at No. 2 North Central. I have a bad feeling about this one for North Central, and perhaps not for any logical reason. The 6-2 Vikings have been hot and the Cardinals have everything to lose. With a conference title, playoff spot and perhaps a No. 1 seed in North Central's grasp, the pressure could become overwhelming, the play tight and the game way too close for comfort.

UPSET PICK:
Pat's take: No. 2 North Central. I'm going about as far up the poll as one reasonably can here, yes. Augustana looks like it's getting the hang of the offense, going 28-for-41 through the air in their past two games (not counting a 13-for-15 in the North Park game).

Ouch....CARDS better be sharper than the press they are getting...and beat the turn over game with
the weather too -- or it sounds like many expect Augustana to pull a 2005??!!??

Just saw the weather forecast....will this be a huge
problem for the Cards passing offense?  Which
games will it be a huge factor in --- several CCIW
teams like to throw the ball?

Laugh of the day was when I saw BCs scrolling bottom!!

I don't think it is quite BIG ENOUGH???!!
On a more serious note....any comparisons for this weekends big Auggie/NCC
game from my favorite CCIW followers/group in the know??   ???
