Thx BW. Like I said every game is  pod casted to the big screen with sound off with the Voice loud or just the sound loud on the road games that aren't video streamed. What better way to start a Saturday than a 10:00am pst beer buzz. AKA: Tailgate. Just renovated the garage to a man cave so Mrs. Stealth doesn't have to tolerated DJ, his 2 brothers and papa Stealth raising hell prior to her getting all dolled up for the days activities of shopping, dining and more shopping

Good luck, Danny.
Nice to see you back, Stealth.  Hang around we're in for another exciting and hopefully successful season.

Sorry KS I've been looking everywhere for information but have only gotten as frustrated as you.  I don't know what's holding up the roster posting.

Hello all. So glad to be back from a very long FB slumber. There is only so much foot fairy(soccer)  I can watch (world cup was more than enough and those god damn wazazulu noise makers about shattered my ear drums), so much MMA I can take ( I like the gladiator angle but for christ sake everyone is in the game now. Just the other day they had grandma moses against mona lisa in a 3 round prelim) , basketball is a distant memory(not that I cared to begin with. I mean really how many 100m per year guys can you have love for when all they do is whine like little piglets off the teet) , baseball is like watching spar varnish dry. Hockey is very cool, no pun intended, but the SJ Sharks choke in the big one like..... you fill in the blanks.  So what else is there , golf. Yeah right. Love to play it and only watch when I am hung over, uh bad example cause that would mean 2x's per week. But you get the jest of it. Besides Tiger this and Tiger that is retarded. I'd really care and pay attention if they showed his ex wife and twin sister in a golf ball washing xxx rated.  So let the real games begin.
The Stealth clans gives much love to the UWW nation for taking our son Danny Jones into their arms, not in a gay way I hope,  giving him the opportunity to grow as a person, help win a couple of meaningless games as a FB player  ;) and getting a degree. He is back in Cal full time and heading towards a coaching and teaching career.
GO UWW in 2010 we'll either be watching or listening to every game.

Happy spring all . Hope your're well. Not being biased .. I'd take Jones for all around game. Harder to game plan against. Over came some pretty big obstacles, senior transfer, weather adjustments, cultural acclimation, had a bunch of doubters, etc. 1st QB to lead the team to the promised land. But it's a team sport and so many variables factor into wins and losses. We could debate for ever.

What about Danny Jones. Jacobs was good, but Jones and Donovan won the BIG ONE aka STAGG BOWL. Yes jacobs took them tot he first two but Jones, and Donovan won them. Well Jones was 1-0, while donovan was 1-1.

Jones was very good, and was better moving me around in the pocket....but as far as a pure passer, i'll take JD and Jacobs. look at the numbers.

Plus it didn't hurt Jones to have the best player in DIII to hand the ball off to all year  ;)

I'll be happy to have any of those three on my team  ;D

BG if you wait a month you might get the NCAA Final Four Basketball DVD. Marked Joe Montana vs. Phil Villanova in a recycled Jim Hendrix Axis Bold as Love jewel case.

Hmmm...I think I'll wait a month before ordering the DVD. Hopefully the problem will be fixed by then. I've already seen it on ESPN360.  The announcers were pretty good. The color guy kept saying everyone was "playing at a high level". Well, I guess they were!

Nick Kating is a top shelf player  ::)
Not sure what the overall percentage could be but I would imagine that there are more than a few D3 FB players that could at least make the practice squads of the NFL if given half a chance.
Didn't either of the Turks play in super bowl ?

Although he is not well liked by WW fans. I think he is a top shelf player before that great play. He did help MT. Union win 2 national titles, and got a chance in the NFL. To make it in the NFL you better be a top shelf player.
Just my opnion

Play of the week was Garcon chasing down Reed after the pick and causing a fumble. Yes he is turning into a top shelf player. Much respect to him.

To all:
Dianne, Steve and the whole clan Raebel took clan Steath in thier arms one fall day in 07 when we traveled east to see our son chase a piece of his dream. One that we all know turned out pretty damn good for a transfer QB from California.  We were complete outsiders to the UWW Warhawk world. Strangers in a very strange land. Thier kindness, generousity and spirit have left deep and life lasting freindship for us as I am sure with many of the UWW nation and fans of the opponets as well. To this day they still welcome our son and us into thier home as one of thier own. Now it's all of our turn to in some way to put our arms around them like they have to so many over so many years. Clan Raebel, yeah we all got your back,

Fry completed 194 of 344 passes for 1,925 yards and 11 touchdowns and threw 23 interceptions in his one season as the MSUM starter.
11 td's 23 ints'.  ::) in one season.
I for one am glad he is focusing on school.

DII QB transfering to Whitewater.

http://www.inforum.com/event/article/id/265115/

Started as a freshman at MSUM, but leaving because of coaching situation. Grew up next to Whitewater. Has a stain on him, but probably not a bad qb.

Seems like we get a couple of QB transfers each year. I am glad the kid seems to be focusing on his education first (the quality of the UWW business school).

The entire O benefitted this year from having consistency in coaching. Which included having the QB from the 07 champs stay with the program for 2 years as an assistant O coach and QB coach. All you have to do is look at the pros to see the benefits of having a system in place for an extended period of time. That's one reason MU is so good over time and now UWW. Or for that matter any of the top teams.  Same system, plug and play a good athlete and boom.
For the Shorts lovers, Uh sorry but Shorts was not the best single player on the feild that day. IMHO. If he was it would have been the Rocco to Shorts call every play because #7 on UWW couldn't cover him so UWW changed up coverages. Did he get his, yes. Was he the MVP, no, winner or not, did he have the biggest impact on the feild that day, no. Was he a threat, sure.
But enough about all that.  Great game and I have watched it 3 times now with the same result. YEAH.

Even if Donovan had been 100 percent healthy last year in the Stagg Bowl it wouldn't have been the same. That extra year starting is a huge difference.

Jeff improved a lot from last year to this year.  His level of health had little to nothing to do with how he played in the Stagg Bowl last year.

The hunger generated from getting there and losing helped motivate the entire team, including Jeff.  I'm sure he wanted to play better than he had last year and wanted to go out on top.

I'm sure spring helped to solidify his understanding of the offense and gave him opportunities to work on his technique and reads.

One thing that is being underrated IMO is the development of 3 really good receivers.  All 3 have their strengths and weaknesses but the bottom line is that they catch the ball when its thrown to them and they know all their routes.  That was a huge thing for Jeff, having guys that knew their stuff and were not only dependable but playmakers.

Coach Zebrowski also deserveds credit for working with Jeff and teaching him his offense and getting the most out of him.  Coach Z deservingly won that coordinator of the year this year because Jeff was his pet project and you can see that it turned out very well.

4 bullet points:
Donovan was the MVP. Coppage was good but
The D & O lines were the MVT. Most Valuable Team
Pat and Keith were MVA. Most Valuable Announcers (ESPN announcers were un listenable)
Linfeild. Appreciate the back slapping but please stop claiming UWW as one of your own Westeners. UWW is as much in the real west as Cairo is next to Mexico City. They are in the west by bracket selection only.

Hey D1. If you ever ask the question again "why do we need a playoff" and you watched this game you just got the answer. Much love to MU. What a game, Man I can put the defib machine away now and hit the valium and vodka.  Thanks Lance for letting Jeff finish it off. Classy move.
