So last week Dubuque was the KoHawks homecoming opponant.  This week Dubuque is Cornells homecoming opponant and in 2005 Dubuque was Cornells homecoming opponant as well.

Have teams been loading up on Dubuque as a homecoming opponant recently figuring they had a good chance of winning their homecoming game against a bottom feeder or is it just luck of the draw???

Cornell had Central last year for their Homecoming. I think it has more to do with logistics than opponants.

I just heard today that Cornell and Coe are going to try to get a traveling trophy started either this year or next. Can anyone at Coe clarify this ? I definitely think that this being one of the oldest rivalries on this side of the Mississippi it would only fit to have some kind of traveling trophy. Of course this hasn't been much of a rivalry the past 6-7 years. Hopefully that is going to change soon.  ;D
Coe has been proposing a traveling trophy for about five years. Cornell has shown no interest.

Well I heard this from a Cornell source so maybe they are all for it now?? It wouldn't suprise me with Coach Dillon and having a different AD now that will happen soon. Here is a question for some Coe and other Cornell people, what should it be called??  Ramhawk trophy?? Lincoln highway trophy?

How about a Lincoln Highway Bell that goes with the winning team from year to year?

Sorry.....I forgot to mention the Coe DBQ game, but since not many people have commented about the Kohawks and their record, I didn't want to ruin their Karma.....I think that they will win, only because their D shuts down the Spartan offense....maybe 17-10?

Good luck and hopefully no injuries this weekend in the IIAC. The game to watch this week is the Central vs Simpson clash. I think that the storm have a shot  to upset the dutch.  Nah...maybe not, Central should have a cake walk, but we'll see.

Is this the weekend that Cornell finally gets a conference win? If the head coach pretends that it is the 3rd qtr at the beginning of the game and cuts his offense loose, then maybe? It will still come down to whether or not their D will make enough stops to off set the mistakes the offense will make.

As far as the uniforms are concerned, I like the Norse and the numbers on the helmet.....classic

I have nothing against the Knights, I just believe they are the best team in the conference

Hi all, I am new to this post and finally felt compelled to throw my own comments into the ring.
First, I have only watched and had a vested interest in Iowa Conference football the last three years.
Second, I am kinda partial to root for the underdogs, Cornell and DBQ, and any team playing Wartburg this year.
Third, I believe that the IIAC top to bottom is probably in the top 5 conferences in D3.
Finally, as far as Cornell winning 3 or 4 conference games, maybe?, but I think they will be fortunate to get one. Once they get one, then they can build from there.

I think that Cornell has only one way to go, and that is up. They should have won against Loras, but had too many turnovers and didn't put points on the board when they could have at the end of the first half. Their defense will be their achilles heel the whole season, averaging giving up 30pts a game.

Anthony Kobler is doing a great job stepping back into the QB slot when he was expecting to be a RB or slot receiver. He is very versatile and has been the biggest reason that the Rams are doing better offensively.
