I think he's talking about the fact that in 2008 McMurry averaged 13.0 pts a game. In 2010 they averaged 37.9. Forget about all the difficulties involved in recruiting kids to play at McMurry for a second, and forget about the difficulty of coaching a team comprised mostly of underclassmen. He almost tripled offensive output in two seasons. They are scoring on average three more td's and an extra field goal per game. That's very impressive, and whoever gets that job will be in excellent position to succeed.

I'd be willing to bet the House that McMurry has more offensive production than Hardin Simmons this season, and when that happens, I'm sure you'll wish that you had a guru...

So hardin simmons has had their offense ranked in the top 10 for almost its whole existence and your saying that we will wish we had a guru.....come on kid.     Lets use some common sense...

This was my first McM/HSU game. I enjoyed it. I tought that HSU had a great crowd, a rowdy band. It was fun to watch. The tomahawk chop was a little classless and since your not playing the Indians, it was actually kind of stupid. Mumme cussing, not a big deal, never been around a coach at any level that did not in the heat of the momnet. The punching of Warren in the stomach did happen and there is no room in football for that as well as the eye gouging by HSU players, I am really surprised by the dirty play of what I thought was a class organization. HSU was the better team on the field, but left me wondering about the lack of class.

eye gouging of players....really?  you saw that? you've got a great eye! i commend you

Hardin Simmons Offensive Tackle Koby Parker has been announced Pre-Season All American by College Sporting News and Offensive Guard Cody Honeycutt has been named Pre-Season All American by Lindy's.
Also their rankings have come out.
UMHB ranked 6th by sporting news and HSU 17
Lindy's has UMHB 10 and MC at 17
Williamette is ranked 17 which is HSU's second game....should be interesting!

Just getting fired up for football season...thought this was some good stuff for the ASC.
Also Dustin Davis of UMHB was mentioned AA in both.

Cowboy thanx for your kindness (Go get my gift) ....Toby you can't say that HSU is better than Wesley or W&J when you didn't play them so stop...I can't say that we are better than another team based on how the team that we LOST to TWICE decides to blow the other team out ok. Lets focus the the team at hand which is Whitewater ok and not the ONE and DONE Cowboys.

ohhh its awesome hearing an old umhb player that never really did something try really hard to relive the old days!! Just root on your team buddy and support the conference just like everyone else is doing. Good luck this weekend!!

Mr. Fan...Im not trying to relive the old days becuase in my OLD days we beat your butts like a drum...on our way to the national championship...but when you all get there..then write back...i guess I won't hear from you for a while.

On their way to the national championship game u mean....cause i bet you didn't even travel. Did you watch them on ESPN 2 like I did?

Nor are two offenses on the field at the same time. Do you suppose the fact that UMHB had three first-teamers on defense and W&J had none was a factor here?

Do you know when the nomination deadline was and when the voting took place?

From what I recall is that the deadline was "I think" November 26th so therefore they only got to see round one of the playoffs. So maybe that will tone down the complaining...maybe! But anyways pat, i'm assuming all american comes out after the stagg bowl sometime???

another win for the cru, you deserved it. i mean, you only played the WORST teams on the way to the Stagg. seriously, how much easier can it get? well, its gonna be a whole nother story come this weekend against the warhawks. big, strong, and WHITE. the o-line is going to busy this weekend, busy picking Seanz up off his back. gonna be a long day against these cheese fed white boys. and how many times can your starting RB get knocked unconscious only to put your 8th string guy in there? apparently alot. the ISO ain't gonna work this week, Pete. Coach DKR once said "dance with one who brung ya". you can't dance with a date who can't see straight. after watching the past two games i don't see why teams aren't throwing the ball all over this cru secondary. small, slow, and weak in my opinion. a long ways away from the cru defenses of old. get your mind right cru. these boys will be your huckleberry.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA that was pretty funny. kinda gay but funny!! I'm an HSU fan but this def. gets me rooting for UMHB....Go embarass those dude like you did the past 2 teams!! Good luck!

Donovan's not in the same class as Feaster in terms of Feaster's ability to buy more time by scrambling but Donovan has a superior line compared to HSU.

I guess what I'm saying about Donovan is that he's not going to be a game breaker with his scrambling ability but if you give him 10-15 yards to run he'll can and will get there.

Woah woah woah woah woah I'm going to have to disagree with that. They may be bigger but for HSU's style of play they had unbelievable o-lineman! All-Region does good at showing that with 3 of them on the team plus our Tight End. Speaking of the All-Region team......WOWWWW! Justin Feaster ASC Offensive player of the year and doesn't get on the team!! I understand there are great qb's on the list dont get me wrong, but this guy was the leader of one of the best offenses in D3. This is a huge disappointment of a player well deserving of that team. But it'll be ok, he's a junior and he has def. proven himself this year and will be amazing next year. Good luck to him in his quest for the G-Trophy! Good luck cru this weekend....represent the ASC  ;D ;D

First of all...congrats to the Crusaders for yesterdays dominating performance. It seems that were back to the HSU-UMHB game...and for what ? Look you haven't beaten since when.....yeah I think since 2004...Imean we beat with our third string tailback...cmon Cowboy fans...just because you gave a hell oa game...does not mean you would do the same thing or even beat a Wesley/ W&J. Face it when you beat us then compare ok...until enjoy watching basketball tournaments or get your xmas gifts early since you have all that free time ok. Good luck in basketball The pride of Hardin Simmons University!!!!

Your an idiot

You know what I'm tired of ........ of people comparing  HSU to Wesley. The bottom line is that we beat them both and we settled all of our arguements on the field. So lets worry about W&J since they will be ready to play us and are very well coached.

i've kept quiet after week one of the playoffs because we lost...but this just doesn't make any since to me! You won....YES congratulations!! BUT lets get this straight....it was a great game which very well could've gone either way....just be lucky it went your way because statistically (and before you get all fired up....ya'll won which means you are the better team...i guess) we won almost every aspect of the game. We had more than 100 more yards then ya'll and from what i saw we completely dominiated you offensively, especially in the trenches and defensivelly we kept you under 180ish yards rushing, hsu had that much rushing and we're a passing team. The reason ppl are comparing is because HSU is an unbelievable team and unfortuanatly they are sitting home instead of still playing. Dont get me wrong this is not an excuse....I just had to say something because your comment was rediculous. But hey GOOD LUCK THIS WEEKEND!!!
