I am sick of the jacka$$ Bethel coaches in the box adding the war whoops.......act like professionals :-*
Just a standard johnnie fan that doesn't know what to do with himself but eat his sour grapes now that his team is sitting at home.

Standard huh?  That is some pretty big talk...

Are the Dutch going into the wind?

If they're going into the wind, they will have botched the coin toss unlike any team in history

bethel received to start the 2nd half...why?
Did Central take the wind when it won the toss?

I think that is the only thing that could cause this.  I've seen it before, but never understood why a team would do that.

What's up with Central's live stats?  I got this message...that's plain sad

"Live stats are unavailable during the second half of the football game due to the women's basketball game.. "

What gives here...I thought this game was already started?

They have to clear the field in Pella.  Game was pushed back an hour...If the game were at Bethel today, clearing the field wouldn't do much good the way the snow is coming down right now...

Just got off the roads 5 min ago, sheet of ice, 30 MPH tops for you travelers.  Worst part was trying to keep the ice from accumulating on the windshield.  Be safe.

We can prgnosticate all we want about who this weather favors in this game, but it will be the same for both teams, who adjusts better and does not drop the ball will probably be the winner.  One thing I know it doesn't favor the fans!!!

I posted on daily dose asking about NCAA postponement policy in unplayable conditions (sheet of ice on the field turf?), maybe Pat can enlighten us.  If the weather does warm up as predicted a 3:00 start time may be beneficial???  Good luck to all, players and travelers alike!  time to start collecting enough clothes to wear.

Wow.  Good work on the roads.  Safe travels to everyone.

Here is one SJU fan that will be pulling for the Dutch today.  Good luck.

Go Dutch.

I hadn't bothered to look at next year's schedule yet. I see three very interesting points:
• Six home games? Are we pulling a D1 stunt and paying schools to come here?
• Four home games to start the year? Sounds like a nice way to figure out the QB situation in the friendly confines.
• @ BU, @ UST, @ STO = man up or no playoffs. Wow.

UST = Collegeville South Campus...make that 7 home games.    ;)

Here is a topic to discuss.   The NFL Network.  I thinks it is a great channel, lots of great inside info on what is going on around the league year round.  However, it isn't on the cable network and when they televise games most of the country doesn't see them.  I feel it is a loss for football fans in that way.  I would love to see the GB vs DAL game but since I don't have Dish I can't see one of the best games in the NFC this season, and that is bullsh!t.  I guess I'll have to settle for highlights on SC.  I'm picking the Pack over the Boys 24-20.

On another note, I'm wishing the Royals luck weekend, eventhough its killing to say it.  As much as some of us don't like to admit it, they are part of the MIAC and for that reason I wish them the best, but they are still on top of my **** list among MIAC teams.

And finally, my Chuck Norris joke of the day:

Chuck Norris beat the sun in a staring contest........twice!!

I don't know if this has already been part of the Chuck Norris discussion on this board, but thought that everyone should realize that Chuck Norris is Mike Huckabee's weapon to secure our borders...

This should bring a little Holiday Cheer to MIACPP.  KS finds number 7 especially interesting from a medical standpoint.  KS thinks KR will definitely need to examine and report his findings.

As a trained groinacologist, allow me to report in my cousin KR's absence. Those are certainly some interesting specimens, but my trained eye tells me they are in need of a little service. Is this from where we get the holiday expression "ho, ho, ho" ?

Be careful how you use the "ho, ho, ho" line.  In this day and age of political correctness, Santa Claus is public enemy #1

To all my fellow SJU backers,

I think I have finally been able to determine what the Bethel types like thefreebird want; simple acknowledgment for a job well done........they are no longer in diapers and want us to acknowledge that they have pooped in the big boy toilet (won in the playoffs).  They want to show us their poop, have us comment on how big it was and encourage them to continue using the toilet.  The problem is they are going to continue to want to show us their poop (if there is any) and have us continue to validate their growing potty skills.......for those of you parents you will know what I'm talking about....after awhile seeing the poop gets old and just want to make sure they wash their hands.....keep in mind there will be accidents...where they go in their trousers again....

So there you have it-----Bethel good job for being big boys and winning a couple of games in the playoffs, make sure you wash you hands and don't forget to flush ;D

Fine then, we will cause them to have an "accident" this weekend and then you wont have to hear about how great Bethel is anymore, agreeable?

I am SO fine with that...   :D

How can you belittle Bethel so much at this point in the year? They beat you head to head this year, and last year I believe. They are still playing football and you guys talk about them like they were a winless team who pulled off a miracle win. The past is the past and of course we Central fans appreciate it and take pride in it but at this point the Royals are the ones still playing ball while you guys are acting like the big brother who can't handle it when their younger brother can finally beat them on the driveway.

D1 - I think this is a discussion that you cannot possibly understand and should probably avoid.  I think you are reading Redtooth's metaphor far too literally.  I read it as a statement (told in a humorous way) as to how far Bethel has come and how their program has developed.

It's not like Bethel just beat us for the first time.  Bethel has done a fine job this year and nobody is denying that.

I hate to see Bethel succeed just as I hate to see any rival succeed.  I cheer against them just as I cheer against the Packers.  This "belittling" is nothing more than banter within a rivalry that continues to develop.
