It makes me wonder the people who check this site when you look at the results for the recent poll.  Who are the clueless 5% that say neither UWW or MUC will make it to the stagg and the 32% that actually say a team will be them?  Cant be St. John's fans because THEY GONE.

Sakman your predictions are almost always wrong.  But I got one for you.  42-14 final for this Saturday at the Perk.
We will see the #1 defense at the Perk this weekend.

Goo....I wish this certain "Saint" could've been at the Perk to take part in your festivities this past Saturday, but I had family up from Arkansas for the week.  However, I will be at the Perk this Saturday to make up for it to see UWW, yet again, set ignorant D3 "fans" straight by making a fool out of Wittenberg.....42-14?---it could be that bad by halftime---Warhawks put up at least fifty and hold Wittenberg to under 200 yards of total offense....52-14 'Hawks

Confirmed: Pam Ward on play by play.

NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You have got to be kidding me....after having to survive through the last two years (I believe) of Pam Ward butchering the pinnacle of Division 3 football, I am graced with her presence yet again in the heart of the Christmas season.  So much for the Holiday Season!  Why can't ESPN open their eyes and get a different team? (Ray Bentley was legit, however)...too bad Bill Curry ended up going back into coaching at Georgia State, because he and Gary Bender in 2005 were unreal.

Good luck to the Warhawks as they defend their National Title in Salem.....should be an amazing game....Warhawks will fly under the radar yet again and stun the Purple Raiders 31-28, solidifying a new Division 3 football dynasty.....after the Warhawks win #2, more and more players are going to transfer/attend UWW (on top of the entire team coming back next year----minus 6 seniors) and I believe we will continue to reload/rebuild for many years to come......looking at the conference this year (still don't think Point is going anywhere soon), I can't see UWW losing to anyone for a long time.  Big ups to Lance Leipold, Borland, Zebrowski, Dinkle, Nelson Edmonds, Kevin Bullis and the rest of the Warhawk coaching staff (especially Grizz).

One final thought......can the Gagliardi Trophy committee just hurry up and give it to Micheli already....I mean, the guy was a finalist for the Draddy Trophy, is one of the best QB's in the nation (IMO) and plays for Mt. Union for pete's sake.

Just saw the D3 All-Region Teams and wanted to chime in on what I thought......considering that we had a 1st Team All-Region RB (as a true frosh) in the toughest conference in D3 (IMO) I don't get how Sherman isn't 1st Team as well.....the same thing held true the last few years....where Beaver was 1st Team and so was Sakellaris/Ramseier, etc.....Jace is a given---the best LB in D3 (no opinion necessary).....congrats to T-Shump and Anthony "Bonecrusher" White, two guys both from Bay View in Milwaukee asserting themselves on the field---both will be up for All-American status next year (you heard it here first)......I understand Pat's reasoning for putting Birkhofer ahead of Schebler (he's hit 3 field goals over 50 yards with a long of 56), but you can't deny the fact that Schebler set the NCAA ALL-TIME FIELD GOAL MARK FOR CRYING OUT LOUD!!!!! Don't penalize Jeff because his offense is too explosive to allow him to hit longer field goals.  UWW's offense is in the red zone more than Old Spice is!!!!  There isn't a more consistent, money kicker than I would want to have with the game on the line than Schebler and the fact that he isn't 1st Team is a first-class joke.

Next order of business.......WHO IN THE HELL IS BRAD VICKROY????????????
I have been a consistent follower of UW-Whitewater and the WIAC for the last few years and I never heard of this guy from anyone until the All-Conference teams came out.  I was at the Stevens Point game and I feel he was a non-existent presence, yet he was WIAC POY, West Region POY and probably cemented All-American status while not even being the best D-Linemen in his conference.  I have heard from numerous Whitewater players that Marcus Ball from Stout was the hands down best DL in the WIAC and he is #10 in the WIAC in tackles while leading the WIAC in sacks (13) and TFLs (24.5) in 10 games, while Vickroy only had 5.5 sacks and 16 TFLs in 11 games, albeit playing DT......You're telling me Vickroy is a more valuable player than Ball from Stout, Rindahl from UWW, Beckwith from Point (IMO, single-handedly won the WIAC for Point) or Sartorelli from EC.

No disrespect....but if you're going to elect a defensive player (a lineman especially) as conference POY, he better look and play like Reggie White, Dwight Freeney, Julius Peppers or Mario Williams....or else stick with the usual and give it to an offensive player

First time I have been home in four years for Thanksgiving....fun to be with family and freinds (and working) but wish I was traveling to Oregon!! Can't wait to see the Hawks shut down the fly offense and put up an air attack of there own.  Donovan dominates and the WR's humiliate Willamette's Db's in a laugher....UWW 34 WU 13!!! After the game Willamette's coach doesn't say....there as good as JUST ABOUT anyone of the team's we've faced (is he an idiot??).  He says, "THEY ARE  BY FAR THE BEST!"

Champs.....glad that you had a fun time with the fam, I'm sure Iowa was rockin.......first time the last 3 years that I hadn't been preparing for a game before Thanksgiving.....good to see the family in SW Wisco. and watch some football.......IMO, there isn't a coaching staff that prepares the way UWW's staff prepares on both sides of the ball.....Anthony White has at least 2 sacks, Jace Rindahl has 10 tackles, Donovan throws for 200 and 2 TDs, Antwan Anderson and Coppage both run for 100+ and the Fly gets "swatted" by Borland and the boys......Hawks 38 Bearcats 7

ps....Champs, hope the Cyclones can recruit some more Troy Davises and Seneca Wallaces in the coming years to resurrect the program

I agree with Goo......let's be honest, having as long of a conference winning streak as UWW did is very impressive and usually doesn't last that long (exception: MUC), but the Purple Raiders did lose to Ohio Northern during the regular season in 2005 ending a decent streak (i.e. 110 games to be exact).  Following that loss, they continued to win two national titles, one runner up finish and are looking to make it another deep run in the play-offs.  Warhawk faithful......HAVE PATIENCE FOR CRYING OUT LOUD....all of you Sunday/Monday morning quarterbacks are brutal.  You try watching 8 different films, getting 4 hours a sleep per night, formulating a game plan that documents what calls to make for a zillion different formations and then have the poise to make the exact call every time, good luck.  As I recall, our special teams returned a blocked punt against St. Xavier and almost blocked about three more. (granted brutal team)  As long as they have Lane "the train" Olson on every special team they will be fine.  Borland is, in my opinion, the best defensive coordinator in the nation and the best at making adjustments after a week like this.  Knowing from experience, Borland and the rest of the coaching staff won't cash in the season, they'll evaluate what went wrong and come back with a better game plan for next week.

Also, let's be honest.....who in their right mind is going to stand in the way of UWW up until the Natty Championship game.....North Central (refer to last year), UMHB (refer to last year), Wabash (brutal), Muhlenberg (you gotta be kidding me), Millsaps (yeah right).  The team will be hungry, on a mission and unstoppable until round 4 with MUC in Salem.

Goo....I am missing Ray's chili and can u believe the Mustard Museum is moving?

I believe that Justin will absolutely be in an NFL camp and might warrant a late 7th round draft pick depending on if some teams already have drafted the positions they need.....here's the only tough part about Beaver is that he never was given the chance at WW to play a significant role on special teams like Derek Stanley did.....by getting experience on special teams, Derek proved to be more versatile and I believe more NFL teams are more willing to go with a guy who has played as a Wide Receiver, Kick Returner, Running Back, Defensive Back, Punt Gunner than a guy who has only played RB....granted, i'm comparing apples to oranges, because they play two different positions, but I think with the tools that Justin had, it was stupid of the coaches not to put him on Special Teams more.....not saying that he couldn't do that at the NFL level, because I think he can, but it's unfamiliar territory for him

Hey Voice.....I was just looking at the Warhawkfootball.com website and I think you mistakenly put down Griz as receiving the D3 Defensive Player of the Year.....didn't Jerrell Freeman from UMHB get that award as it says on the D3 football.com website.....what's the deal?

Ok Whitewater fans...give me the top five reasons why you think UWW will beat the Raiders this time around...please do not say, "third time's a charm  ;D

RUN NATE RUN!!

5. Everyone will be issued a shirt from the movie Punisher
4. I just listened to Christina Aguilera's "Genie in a Bottle"
3. They will all do the Souja Boy and pull a Superman on MUC
2. Appalachian St's Head Coach is giving the pre-game speech
1. Al Michaels is calling the game on ESPN---I believe in miracles

Whitewater should've had back-to-back Gagliardi winners...Kleppe got screwed last year....Brehm wasn't even 1st team all-american or the offensive player of the year

Congrats to Justin Beaver, the 15th recepient of the Gagliardi Trophy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Now let's make it a complete sweep with the walnut and bronze on Saturday!!!!!!!!!

Congrats to Beavs and Griz...D3 West Region O/D POYs

Anyone know when All-Region is released??????

Notes from Saturday.....Hawks more acclimated to playing in bad weather.....yet again, another team comes into the Perk and carelessly turns the ball over.....many of the games this year may have been closer except for the gobs of TOs the UWW D has gotten.

Prediction for Saturday.....I think UMHB plays the Hawks a lot closer than everyone expects (remember LAX last year....everyone thought we were going to blow them out again)....my guess is that they don't shy away from the run early and their D will be ready for the test.....real question is how the field is going to be and whether or not UWW gets up early again

UWW 21, UMHB 17

hey bobhawk.....it's funny how much you try to poke fun at Goo and joked about how "good" he was......the fact of the matter is that he was 3-time 1st team all-WIAC, 2-time all-region, 2-time all-american & the 2006 Offensive Lineman of the Year.....what awards have you won, most kids carried in a minivan to a youth soccer tournament, or maybe Pee Wee football assistant coach of the year, or wait.....a washed up football player who got cut or quit the UWW football program......stop being jealous because "athletes" had success at UWW and you couldn't...pipe down and post information that is somewhat intelligent
