Thanks!  Any other known scrimmages?  What about up in the Minneapolis area?  Augsburg? St. Thomas?  My wife likes that idea because then she can shopping  ;)

Thanks for the insight into the conference season.  Should be a fun one to watch.  Have any teams scrimmaged yet?  Or do you know when certain teams scrimmage?  I have an itch to get out and see some basketball  ;D

Any insight into how practices have gone so far?  Any other rosters or surprising freshman out there?  Bird Dog--who is your team that you root for?  I am neutral  :)

It is almost that time again for another great year in the MIAC.  Being from Southern Minnesota, which games should I mark down on my calander to go see this year?   St. Benedict and St. Thomas are they the cream of the crop this year?

Glad to see some chatter on this page.  Thanks for the update that Buena Vista's roster is up.  I did notice on Sunday that Luther's roster is up to.  Looks like they brought in a good sized class.  Any other thoughts or preseason predictions?  I would think that Simpson would be the team to beat again.

How does everyone feel about the upcoming conference tournament?  Anyone going to be able to knock off St. Benedict?

Tonight I will go with:

Loras 66  Coe 60
Luther 68  BV 67

Kohawk Crazy---any reason why Norris didn't play against Simpson (sick?)

Looks as if it is going to be an interesting conference finish in the Iowa Conference.  I was at the Luther game last night and they really took it to Simpson.  Surprised me, because I hadn't seen Simpson in person but I knew they had a high ranking.  Should make for a good finish!

Sorry!  Didn't mean to come across like that at all.  I was just saying in general from games that I have seen over the past two years.  I really enjoy reading your posts and am glad to see so much support for your conference.  Best of luck to all the teams the rest of the way.

Not to burst any bubbles but I have seen a few conferences play and the SLIAC is not a very competitive league (outside of Maryville).  All of the other teams would finish near the bottom of the more competitive conferences in the Midwest (i.e. CCIW, WIAC, MIAC, IIAC, etc.)

It looks like St. Benedict is by far the best team in the league this year.  Who do you think will challenge them?

Any predicitons for tonights games in conference?  How are conference teams looking so far.  I haven't been able to watch any as of yet.

I'm going to try and head down to take in the Central-Wartburg game, as long as I-35 is good enough to drive on :) .

Congrats to Wartburg's Abbey Hempen on making the D3 Team of the week!

Was at the Luther-LaCrosse game last night.  Luther looked better than their record but they did struggle scoring in the 2nd half.

Also it looks like Sharese Van Sloten of Wartburg has a wonderful game last night.  The box score said she had 37 points and 15 rebounds.  Those are player of the week type numbers :)

Hope everyone is surviving the snow!

Sorry I don't follow this board much but I was just trying to get some information on Fontbonne.  Expanding my horizons :) .  I am going to try and head down from Southern MN to catch the Wartburg Tournament.  Should be two fun games on Saturday.
