Just got home from Milwaukee.  Webster did not look good at all.  MSOE scored way too many points in the paint.  Our interior defense was non-existent.  Also 19 turnovers for Webster added to the demise.  MSOE applied full-court pressure the entire game which took our guards out of their game.  One nice thing about the trip is that MSOE has a wonderful sports complex.  Completed in 2004.  Everything looks top notch.

Hopefully this xmas break will help the Gorloks heal up.  At least three of the players have ankle sprains.

For anyone who is interested the MSOE website indicates that it will be broadcasting the game tomorrow night against Webster.  Tipoff is scheduled for 7:00 pm.  The address below is for their website.  And yes my better half will be phoning back with updates to several parents/fans if the website is not broadcasting

Eureka I was there to witness the "meeting in the bleachers".  All I know is that there are linebackers in the NFL that wish they had the foot speed of Hope Fan.  When he went past me it was just a blur. :o :o

Just wanted to drop a note for the Webster fans that were in attendance Sunday for the Augustana game.  The gentleman (Auggie fan) that was doing all of the officiating from the stands during the first half of the game had a personal interest in the game.  Come to find out he is the father of the head coach for Augustana.  Information obtained from the AD at Augustana also said that he is a retired Hall of Fame Basketball Coach.  I just wanted to let Hope Fan know what he was up against.

Webster scrimmaged both Lindenwood an Meramec last Saturday. My source informed me that both games were close, Webster lost both but by less than 10 points in each game.  A lot of players saw playing time.  Too many turnovers in both games.  The search continues for that "point guard" to emerge.  Only 18 days left to the season opener.

I agree with the general consensus of the top 4 teams for this upcoming season.  I think that Westminister can be a big factor if they can stay away from the injury hex that they seem to have.  I know in the last several years the Webster players do not like to play in the Westminister gym.  They have commented on the lighting at the far end basket being very distracting and the rims are not very shooter friendly.  So if they can control their homecourt schedule and pick up a couple of upsets on the road then they could be in the thick of it.

Webster's big question will be the guard play.  Coach Bunch needs to find a point guard from the group of the incoming players.  Spinner is going to be hard to replace.  Early Inside information indicates that overall team speed is better this year than last year.  Hopefully they can take advantage of this speed in their play selection.

On paper Fontbonne has to be the favorite.  The only variable will be how much they miss White.  I honestly thought he was the MVP of the tournament with his play on both ends of the floor.

And finally Greenville.  With the remodeled gym to inspire them and if they can maintain some consistency, they also could play an important role in the upcoming season.

Hello, I have been a visitor to this site for the last 3 years and I finally decided to join in with the conversation.  I have very close ties with Webster (player) and have only missed 3 of the Gorlok games in the last two years.  The last couple pages confirm the earlier observation that we need to get the basketball season started soon!!!  My source at Webster says that the practices so far have been very productive.  I would like to thanks D3SPORTS.COM for maintaining this website.
