Could sum1 please explain to me about HPU...They seem to have a good coaching staff...and GREAT facilities for d3...is there a reason why its not translating into football wins?

March 14, 2011, 04:46:37 PMQuote from: crufootball on March 11, 2011, 12:11:26 PMWhoaaa! Now hold on now..lets not forget that I(TLUGoat) never enrolled at TLU...hence them going 2-8...lol, jk...kinda....anyway..carry on with the fighting..I'm enjoying it from the cheap seats.
And tigerkat you sound like TLUGoat did in 2007, came in here talking about how they had some great recruits coming in (including him) and they were going to take over the ASC. Well they ended up going 2-8 for the year.
And speaking of the truth, the only truth we have to go on right now is the past since we are still sadly months away from real action. And the truth is ETBU went 0-3 against the top 3 teams last year and 2 of those loses weren't close.

I'd also like to apologize for my last screen name in 2007 Tlu_G.o.a.t. I was just reading all of those past posts..and lol, boy was I piece of work...I logged in to find some well-deserved PMs telling me about myself lol....but, just in case the UMHB guys were wondering..I never enrolled at TLU. I got a late offer from a D2 school that summer, and I graduated with my bachelor's degree the following summer. So all of those posts were me, but I'm definitely alot more humble now.
Sorry guys.

Sorry guys.

I'd just like to say that Hardin Simmons got a freaking JEWEL of a coach in Mike Salinas. I have no idea how he ended up as a WR coach and special teams coach at a d3, but this guy is a great coach and an even better recruiter. He was my D.Cooridinator and is a real good motivator. Best of luck to HSU and Coach Salinas.

After a great year at AF2, former UMHB player Elex Reed, will be playing in the AFL next year.

It is very reliable...that list was posted by Josh Buchanan....He is the guy that projects all the d2 players to the Pro Level...and his lists are always legit.

Excuse my ignorance if this is a dumb question, but is it possible for 3teams from the same conference to make the playoffs in D3? I ask this because i feel like 2008 will be a very competive year in the ASC.

And it is not about the play of one player to change a program, its his leadership and motivation of the other players around him, to get them to believe that they are capable of winning.

November 09, 2007, 10:10:34 PMQuote from: umhb2001 on November 09, 2007, 08:18:51 PMWhy are you still talking to me Chad? Just leave me be like everyone else on the board. I was recruited by Big XII,WAC,and conference USA schools in high school...so any letter i recieved from any D3 school was thrown in the trash!!!! And that includes UMHB. So on that note, have a nice weekend with Christan....Chad.Quote from: TLU_G.O.A.T on November 09, 2007, 01:36:51 PMQuote from: umhb2001 on November 09, 2007, 01:28:42 PMJarvis went to Cisco Junior College, but you guys would not know that, because your program does not acknowledge transfers.... Dont worry about my past stats....worry about my stats in 2008Quote from: TLU_G.O.A.T on November 09, 2007, 11:06:16 AMQuote from: yessir on November 09, 2007, 05:17:04 AMFirst of all...lol at me riding ANYBODY'S bench....never rode one in my life....and i guarantee you that i would not ride a bench at ANY ASC school, or ANY D3 school for that matter.......You have no idea the caliber of athlete you are chatting with buddy. Not Adrian Peterson, Not Tom Brady, but definitely a program changing player....Especially in a D3 conference where Jarvis Thrasher is the no.1 tailback
Actually, if I was you, I would transfer to UMHB in the spring and ride the bench next season, atleast you'll get a ring........Jarvis Thrasher got cut from his Junior College team after his freshman year.....A junior college team that was 2-8,and didnt return not 1 running back.
What Juco was that? Where may we find your stats?
We'll definately be looking for those stats, as we just held down a pretty good back in Justin Beaver a couple weeks ago. BTW, it souds as if you are a little miffed about not being here at UMHB. What, did our program no recruit you?
