Been away for awhile...fun to read all posts that fans everywhere are writing. You gotta be a true fan of football and love the game as we all do to hang with D3 ball-never 'nuff recognition.Anyway, attended the Bart-U game yesterday.Holy cow! Maybe the best LL game witnessed by many. You could write all day about the game and the list of records broken.Hat's off to the Statesmen!Pre-game stretching turned ugly w/Union players starting crap...war is hell.Although the score may reflect differently, Hobart piled up a boatload of yardage-788 or so!Only big plays really hurt the "D" but we're young and had starters out.BTW...spoke with some players after the win and we were talking shop about the season and remarked that SJF JV v. 'Bart was cancelled due to SJF d-bags trashing the new visitors locker room.Unfortunately our younger guys lose out on a game 'cuz their peers don't know how to act.Don't come back to Geneva-there's some pissed off people who want to see you -you freakin' dirtbags.Coaches should be proud of these actions.Or maybe the coaches are dirtbags too and don't care to DISCIPLINE anyone. Just thought I'd share this w/everyone.Appearances aren't everything!

October 12, 2009, 10:06:06 AMQuote from: pumkinattack on October 12, 2009, 09:21:38 AMExcellent analogy pumpkinattack...and I agree w/you totally.Bad calls are just bad calls PERIOD!!!We`ll meet again @ the `Boz next season.Meanwhile ,look for the pumpkin` heads to roll against their remaining opponents. Those boyz have too much class and pride for any other outcome than winning out.Go `Bart!!!
Dlip (already threw you a K earlier, but would give you one for this),
I didn't blame the loss on the officiating, but did feel like it took away Bart's opportunity to have the ball with +/- 4min in a 3pt game to TRY to tie or go ahead. They were behind, and made too many mistakes and that's why Bart lost (plus sh***y playcalling). That being said, I don't believe it's ever right to justify one f**kup by pointing to another one that went the other way. My point was that I can't necessarily argue with perspective (e.g. did contact justify PI?), but when you hear someone saying (not explicitly, but this is the implication) "well, it's ok if that was a bad call because there were bad calls that went against us". A bad call is a bad call. Union isn't going to give back this game just like Bart won't give '04's back (if that's the case, I was at the game in the stands, but couldn't see the goal line from the stands in midfield, so I took our cheering as meaning we stopped them), but that doesn't excuse either call(s).

Dlip-Yeah,yeah,yeah...BUT the officiating still SUCKED!PI my orange @ss! Anyhooo, the statesmen should have never stopped runnin` the ball.It was there all day.Good blocking from the O-line and FB.Union`s front is soft, better tighten your chinstraps for RPI and SU.Guess Hobart will have to play for pride now...eye-opener...haven`t been out lookin` in in YEARS.Sorry `bout the ranting earlier..wasn`t tryin` to dis anyone...just sayin`though.Go Bart!!!

Nice to meet the guys from inside the hudLLe at the`Bart game.Hope you liked the tailgate!Anyhow, this game was back and forth all 1st half. Both teams made adjustments at the break and thus, a scoreless 3rd. The f@$*in 4th however, was decided by the f@$*in refs!Haven`t seen such BS officiating at a college game. All started with a strip of Coney and #52 Guidetti running to the end zone...touchdown `Bart? Nope ,ref says he blew the whistle.Since when does a RB still on his feet and fighting for yards have a play "stopped".I think the ref blew something else.Hobart D was insane...stopping Unionwhen needed...****,there`s another flag down..oops and another.WTF??Every time `Bart held or made a spectacular play on Union`s last scoring drive, the drive continued with help from the officials.Anyone at the game knows what I`m saying..even my Union friends were disgusted.Pass interference my ass! Should have been offensive if any call and the last pass interference call was made by the far side official...about 4 seconds AFTER the play was over.Gotta bad taste in my mouth after watching that series of BS calls one after the other.24-21 and `Bart was rollin`. Doesn`t matter anymore, but a game like this should not be decided by the officiating. That crew was a fn joke and the LL and the NCAA should watch that game tape.DISGUSTING!!!TOTAL BS!!!Feelin` bad for the pumpkin heads, but hold your heads high. You all played your asses off and deserve credit where credit is due.Union was very lucky and will still have a tough time winning the LL.Go `Bart!!!

Distraught pumpkinheads??? Sh** `Gro, that`s a phreakin understatement...but thanks for the encouraging words.Watched the SU game on stream from SU.What a letdown.Damn, man, wtf is goin` on?Just can`t believe the start they`re having.D really needs to step it up-ALOT-and O needs to get their sh** together!Stupid penalties and botched plays... where`s the gd running backs?Marlier needs to be in-period.Not sure what`s up with that but Tritten and Julian haven`t proven they belong on the field at all.How about our other backs? Time to give the ball to someone else. Not bustin` Vella`s balls, but you gotta hit the open receiver. He got no love from his WR`s-lotta dropped balls and TE position may as well be a fuc**** lineman.Catch the damn ball! What happened to play action or sweeps? How `bout a FB in the flats? Defense isn`t much better.I saw alot of MISSED tackles and you sure as sh** aren`t going to win when ya` give up big plays and shoot yourself in the foot with personal fouls after making plays. I just don`t know...think I`ll have a beer or six and ponder some more. C`mon `Bart!!!

Just wundrin` if K-Mack made it to the `Bart game? AWESOME pre and post game festivities!Nice win for the pumpkin heads. They sure looked alot better than last week against DICKinson.Back on track for another LL Championship and NCAA playoff berth...one week at a time. These boys are used to winning and will continue to find ways to win.QB vella-much improved performance.Credit coaching staff with that and coupled with the fact Vella only played in a couple games last year as backup.Defense showed flashes of brilliance, but has to stop the run better on 1st and 2nd downs.Cragg will toughen up his D-line and they will improve.Special teams-2 words-nice job! Hobart offense played a much improved game, but I think the Statesmen need to find a feature RB instead of subbing too much.A RB needs to be in the game and get a few carries before he gets his groove gion`.Marlier looked good when in.WR`s look pretty good but I`m not sure about Schulz. He hasn`t played a snap yet,but the others are stepping up.At FB Howard and Miller are just flat out nasty.Nice job guys, but we should have put up 14-21 more points easily.Next week!Go `Bart!!!

Back in action, was away for a couple daze.Looking forward to travelling to the Boz to see the Statesmen back in action.BTW,LB Robinson hasn`t played `cuz of a muscle pull, hopefully back soon!Look to see a completely different team after last weeks debacle. Not sure who will get the nod @ QB, but Vella needs to relax and let some routes open up.Let the backs carry the ball, that`s what they do.K-Mack... might as well hit the `Bart game. Cam`s pizza is yummy, and Parker`s Pub has some Death Wish wing sauce that will tear the ass right out of you next A.M.Go `Bart!!!

To pumpkin attack:Was at the Bart game...pretty disappointing display by Bart standards. Not sure if they thought DICKinson was gonna lay down or what but by the look on Craggs face, there's gonna be hell to pay at practice this week for CMU! As for the RB's,word is Marlier was being disciplined so I'm not sure where he really stands on the depth chart.Vella seemed way too ready to tuck and run and he better work on his slide or he"s gonna lose his head!FB spot may have been a question, but after watching JR Matt Howard's performance,I can see why he is the starter.Kid is jacked and plays ALOT bigger than his listed size.Whole team needs to come together as a unit and play TEAM football. If QB earl can learn the playbook, he's got alot to offer up.Defense needs to CONTAIN and wrap up the ball carrier.Missed tackles and only pushes on the sidelines???Hagar and Sanders set a standard- Lets keep it!!! NO MORE displays of pussies! If you can,t step up- stepQuote from: bart37 on September 13, 2009, 08:09:03 AMTake no prisoners ...leave no survivors
