UW Whitewater (D-III): The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater is taking applications for their Offensive Coordinator opening. A master's degree is required, prior coordinating/play calling and quarterback coaching experience is preferred. This is a full-time position with benefits and there are teaching responsibilities. If you are attending the AFCA Convention please include that in your email. Please email resume and references to RindahlJO12@uww.edu.

Good to see. Offense needs a spark from someone.

Both were powers that consistently made Stagg Bowl trips back in the day, but not so much anymore.

Yes!! I got them and Augustana confused. Lol

Can't help but notice on social media that UWW is still rolling out their national championship trophies as a photo opp with potential recruits.

Wonder if there's an unwritten rule (statute of limitations) with that sort of recruiting tactic? Flexing championships that are 10+ years old from two regimes ago. Like does SJU or Augustana break out their old trophies for recruits to take pics of?

If it's working....then sure keep doing it.

A win is a win, against a solid team too. Offense was just good enough today. They had one very good drive where they had things clicking. Then lots of shots in the foot. Missed opportunities on down-field throws to open receivers. Can't remember a time where we went to our FB so frequently before. Our RB1 hurt? Only saw the backup and Martin get carries.

Defense was outstanding with short to mid range plays. We are so fast to the ball. However we continue to struggle on stopping big plays. Have to give UWRF credit, he threw some dimes down the field, in-stride. Which is something UWW really struggles with on offense. So many points left off the board today for UWW.

Last two HC were both in-house hires too. Lance was (technically) not.

Not saying anything is wrong with Bullis and Jace, but it seemed to me those two were shoe-ins for the position. Bringing in outside candidates was more of a formality and not really seriously considered. Unfortunately.

UWL saved their season with a win over UWRF yesterday and now has some life. UWP puts themself in the driver seat to win the league. Is Whitewater vs UWRF a playoff game this weekend? Winner still has a chance and loser out?

Only the thing hawks have for them is the outside chance of making the Isthmus bowl. 3 losses with probably more on the way seems likely.

Moving onto next season, the rest of the way is a formality now. Curious if this is the new hawks, or is this just a down year?

We've been so good for so long, always wondered when the year would come when they came back down to earth? Is this it?

Quote from: badgerwarhawk on October 18, 2024, 11:42:55 AMBeating someone one time in 21 years doesn't make you "part of the guantlet."  It does however confirm two things: 1. the law of averages and 2. the blind squirrel theory.

We need better play from the QB position and from the defensive secondary.

Ha, I like it.
They have their chance tomorrow to show who they are.

Speaking of blind squirrels, I'm reminded of UWW's loss to Stevens Point in that odd 2012 season.

That was the year Brekke was benched for Behrendt. Just saying....

Yeah...that was shocking

Becoming less and less shocked on these losses. The revenge tour on UWW continues.

UWP in the driver's seat to win conference. With any luck UWW will win out......not betting on it though. Need to lower expectations on Jace and gang. Would love to give Chryst a shot. Not sure Ceniti is him.

Curious if just 1 WIAC team will get in. We're just beating up on each other.

Quote from: 02 Warhawk on September 21, 2024, 06:28:28 PMThat was all sorts of pathetic from UWW. Haven't seen an offense that inept in a long time.

I think your're being too generous w/the coaching, o-line, QB & defense grade.

Trying to give the D the benefit of the doubt given what the offense dealt them in the first half. They got a bunch of turnovers on their own, but also gave up some huge plays. Maybe a C would be more accurate.

Hard to say when uww stooped to that level of play before. That was jaw dropping bad. The Oline looked like my bears today....so bad.

Quote from: The Third Division on September 07, 2024, 06:18:12 PMI don't know if anyone else noticed this, but I think this is the best Warhawk team I have seen in years. Less than 10 seconds away from shutting out the 19th ranked football program in d3.

We'll see. Defense and running game look like they're in midseason form. Passing game has some work to do. Pass protection will get better as the season goes on when the line gels. Sounds like we had a guy or two who were late scratches on the line.

All in all, you couldn't have asked for a better opening game for the Hawks, against a solid team too.

Looks like the WIAC remains at the top of the d3 conference standings. Knocking off ranked teams left and right.  8-)
