Yeah, I guess so!  Hope the BU bookstore has the proper ones if they don't.
#2
Interesting, would figure they'd want to test out field and test proper shoes??
#3
Where does NC practice if field is covered? When do they take it off, Saturday morning?

Forecast HIGH in beautiful Arden Hills, MN for Sat is 0. Yes, ZERO!

While down "south" in NaPPerville, it is predicted to be sunny, and a balmy 23.

I know I'm stating the obvious, but my son-in-law just attempted to but up lights for my wife and I and he had to come in 4 different times over 40 minutes to warm up!  He mentioned two different times on how he can't even imagine those boys playing in these conditions.  His son was a great player for the Royals several years ago and he's not sure if he'd even want his own boy playing, very dangerous!  It's 7 degrees right now and the forecast say's -6 on Saturday, without the wind!!

I have to believe that there is a guide line within the NCAA that would take safety into consideration before allowing this game to be played??  I'm very old school, so I say game on.....but remember, I said "old school"

Others thoughts??

Thunder,

.....any chance you have video or 16m of those 3 blocks to the end zone before the back got there??
Either your back sucked and was very slow or maybe you are telling a little white lie!!
Just asking, don't read into this:)

How was your field?

Honestly, worse observation of a call ever!  Even a Johnnie would agree if you go and watch it!  Actually, maybe not.

Couldn't agree more Hazz!  Plus, had no factor in the game in the end.
Holding all day long by both team, hardly ever called!
Hazz, you at game?  Is field as hard as they say it is??

1) field is hard as a rock from what I've been told by son-in-law (Bethel's advantage as they know from both mental and physical standpoint what to expect and deal with)

2) forecast will be awful from sounds of things!  Double deep frost on the ground and even harder than a rock!!

3) North Central has been ranked the entire year in front of BU, double digit favorite by BU, no way!

4) QB is without question what makes BU go. Are they good without him, YES!  Great with him, absolutely!!

Bring your hard hat and steal toe spikes, it's going to be that type of game.

Oh, there will be injuries for sure, if not the normal way, that field is going to beat both teams up!!

Congrats to Bethel on a great year and good luck in the NCAA's!
Due to health issues, wasn't able to attend and disappointed that it wasn't available to watch online. I did however follow via of live stats from BU's site. Question for those that were there, how much time was left when Bethel took a knee 2 plays in a row?  I ask, because SJU had one play before the clock ran out. Again, not sure of the time, but what a classy act by the BU staff!

Does anyone know if NCAA games will be online or is that controlled by the NCAA and not the school hosting the game??

It's been a while since I've been on the board, but I would like to make a couple observations.  Although I haven't been able to make any games in person, due to some health issues, I have watched many of the Bethel games online. Whoever is in charge of getting games online, I want to give a special thank you to that, it has allowed myself and my wife to enjoy games the past couple years.
As I read through some of the post the last couple days, I've come to realize that Bethel's depth maybe is better than it might've sounded earlier in the year. It seems like they have been hit by many injuries, especially defensively. Several weeks ago a young man that plays outside linebacker got injured, and his replacement seem to do very well!  Yesterday, the replacement got injured and then he was replaced by someone that did an outstanding job as well!  This seems to be true at other positions this year with Bethel's defense!  Great job preparing your entire team to be ready to play.
Maybe someone closer to the situation can give me some insight?
I also know from reading post earlier in the year, that SJU has 190 guys out for football??  Is this true?  If so, it would seem like they should be able to replace injured players as well, and really not miss a beat??  I know when I was able to go to games, Bethel maybe had 90 guys on their team.

Either way, for an older guy that really enjoys the game, I really respect the game and enjoy watching Division III football, especially the M I AC!

UST,
Great season!

As a MIAC supporter (BU), you represented the league well!

Monkey stomp my ass!  Great second half.  Proud of you guys.

scrubby,
perhaps the venom is from a bad loss.
for that I apologize.

Fish,
No need to apologize (thank you though), I don't take any of this personally.
I totally understand your passion for your team and respect that.
I should have stayed out of this from the get go.

Really pg.
really?
Perhaps im a little upset- maybe a bit sore- but I think he was out of bounds

Fish,
I'm an old retired guy.  Help me where I'm out of bounds here??
I'm sorry, but your team did not play at the level of what a final 8 team needs to in order to win.
You coaches offensive game plan was not good.
Your defense did not play well.
Your special teams was the only thing that gave your team a chance today.
Call my comments whatever you want, but those are the facts.
Your team got to play 3 extra games this year, the team I support didn't, congrats to your team.
