Did anyone catch the Cobber-Tommie bout last night???

Wondering if anyone has any first hand thoughts about it.

Apologize if this has been posted already. Looks like the UST job is down to 4 candidates:

Gordy Shaw, former University of Minnesota offensive line coach and recruiting coordinator

Jim Zebrowski, offensive coordinator at Wisconsin-Whitewater (2007 NCAA
champions) and former head coach, Lakeland (Wis.) College

Steve Ryan, head coach at Morningside (Iowa) College

Glenn Caruso, head coach at Macalester College

As someone who is not a Tommie fan, Caruso is the one on the list who scares me.  He is an awesome coach, and a really good guy who I think could really make use of St. Thomas's many resources and selling points

bennie - I hope you were similarly disappointed by the Caps/Avs last night. The Caps, interestingly enough, are now coached by Bruce Boudreau, who had a part as one of the opponents of the Johnstown Chiefs in "Slapshot". I told you earlier about Mike Green, I hope you noticed his mad skills.

I did not get a chance to watch the Caps last night. Two to one isn't nearly as embarassing as six to one. :-[ There are so many games tonight that I don't know which one(s) I will watch!

So does anyone else watch Pros vs Joes? The new season starts on Jan 24th. American Gladiators??? Please, I would rather watch 'roided out former pro athletes than 'roided out gym rats! :D

For you Pros vs. Joe's fans.  This is Kordell Stewart at his finest

LA:

What did you think of the Cobber - Piper tilt last night.

I would be especially interested in what you thought of the Cobber freshmen, they have been playing more and more lately, and playing well in my opinion.

By reading the game recap it sounded like the Cobbs were able to play a strong second half after an even first half

For all of you Blazer faithful at CSB last night, what are your impressions of this year's Cobber squad???

Just by reading previews and looling at rosters, my take is that this is a very young team who will probably grow and mature throughout the year, hopefully to be playing their best ball come playoff time.

MIAC Awards are out - a little surprised by the Stam winner.  While I don't follow every team's O-line, I follow the MIAC pretty closely and had never heard of this guy.

I have some issues with the all-miac selections - why not honor everybody if you're going to honor 6!!! QBs in a 9 team conference?  That is a bit rediculous.

The other observation, wow, olaf graduates a lot of talent!!  This may have been their best shot. . .

Weller is a stud, and he is very deserving of this award.  Very strong, very athletic, and a very hard worker.

Couldn't agree more about your comments regarding the over abundance of All-Conf selections.  This is supposed to be something special, not something that's handed out just because.

Yeah St. Olaf does graduate alot, but along as the Meidtster is still there you can be sure of 2 things. 1. I will have a healthy dislike for the program, and 2. The Olies will run up the score on somebody during the year and be totally surprised when others call them on it.

Good luck to the Johnnies and the R....Roy.......Roy......Royals this weekend.  Wow, I have reached a point I thought I would never get to, wishing good tidings onto Bethel College, I think I need to go take a bath.
