I know this has nothing to do with Division 3 football, but somebody please tell me that Romeo Crennel won't be coaching the Browns in 2009. Six lousy points at home against one of the worst teams in the league. This is just not acceptable.

Congratulations to Wisconsin-Whitewater for a great game yesterday. They definitely earned their first Stagg Bowl title. After watching Mount's defense all season, I never thought in my wildest dreams that a running back could end up with that many rushing yards in one game against them. What a way to cap your college career, player of the year and then winning the national championship. It doesn't get much better than that.
Congrats also to this senior class from Mount Union. I know the loss yesterday will sting for some time, but when you look back at your career, you will have many fond memories. Two National Championships and one National Runner-Up. The other season was getting beaten in the National Semi-Final game. The 2005 season was very special since you lost a regular season game to Ohio Northern. Many of us (me included) thought the season was over, but you bounced back and won the National Championship. Best wishes in your future endeavors and thanks again for quite a ride these past four years.

I'm not totally convinced that this is the best Mount team ever. I think a lot of you are forgetting how great the 1997 team was. Bill Borchert just had an unbelievable season at quarterback. I think he had something like 57 touchdown passes and only two interceptions. It would be great to see these two teams (1997 vs. 2007) square off.
