New favorite quarterback: Logan Schrader. Wartburg.

Nate Wara 2.0

Wait -- seriously -- did we know about this guy? This is an All-American debut. Wow.

Has been talked about a bit on the podcast -- more so early in the year when I was at Wartburg's games with Augsburg and Bethel.

Was he as impressive then?

UWW fans are very hospitable thus far, I must say
They were very cool last time we made the trip. We hung out and tailgated with several of them.

Were the Wabash boosters the ones that brought that motor home to Perkins Stadium  to tailgate the last time you guys were here?
YES! We brought a bunch of folks and got there early. We sort of upset the parents of the stud Sr. DB you had back then but they eventually came around and appreciated our devotion. We also had a big-ass grills that an alum towed up from Lake Geneva complete with employees to take care of everything. We will NEVER forget that weather - crazy. I am not sure we will bring same number of fans but never know. I do think our product is MUCH improved from that 07 team. That year we had our season starting ab who had been out all season come back and coaches started him which may have been a mistake as the team had been cruising behind Matt Hudson but who knows. I know we are anxious to see where we stack up.

That injury to Justin Woods didn't look good. Hope he is ok.
According to his dad it's ACL. TOO BAD

I was at the Hiram game and the play with Woods and Partridge appeared to be a situation where Patridge got taken down and then was straddling/standing over Woods. It occurred at the far end from where we were sitting and the stands are not very high so it was not completely clear. As we know, Woods is a bit of a hot head and took offense and rose up rather violently and sort of broncho-billyed
Partridge off and he landed awkwardly. Crowd did get pretty vocal with one man and lady turning to us Wabash fans and screaming at us like it was our fault. Very odd and funny.

that was a great atmosphere today in Crawfordsville. Wabash defense was outstanding. Our fan base was nervously confidant coming into the game but WOW. Save 3-4 long balls and a couple of stupid/questionable penalties the final spread could have been much greater. The defense just wore out their offense and by the middle of the 3rd quarter their stands and players were sort of stunned (in my opinion which is nowhere near as knowledgable as Wally_Wabash or Bashbrohther). From reading the board I think they thought they would come in and roll. The Buresh pick-6 couldnt have come at a better time. we were down 14-7 and the momentum was definitely on HSC side - then bam. Wabash defense was everywhere lead by our 6'1 230 lb saftey A Brown and of course the Buresh Brothers. Holmes and Zurek are just huge and they just flat out pound people. Hopefully the one HSC fan who was spouting off so much earlier in the week has a new found appreciation of the top team in the 16th ranked conference, blah, blah, blah. See you next year and you will be in total awe by the number of fans Wabash brings down there. WAF

Can't wait Bo Henry. We have got to get some folks in the stands.

Couldn't agree more Wally. Bashback#16 and I watched the telecast at his house and we felt badly for not sacking up and making the trip like last year - knew we could count on you to and your big buddy to be at least 2 of the 12!! Tailgate next week same place.

Couldn't agree more Frip. Our center is one of the captains. Not sure why he can't get the snap back nice and crisp. It definitely throws the timing of the plays off.
FYI - this breaks my posting cherry BashBacker16!!!!!!
