Nice to see SNC get one win on both the women's and mens side after the fall AQs pretty much laid an egg.

I'm upset that Roop isn't mad at SNC.

Ripon's season is textbook as to how make the MWC tourney.  Beat everybody you should beat at home and minimize damage on the road.  They have only one "quality" win... @ Carroll early, and yet still finish the year with a chance at the NCAAs.  I would have to say it is a long shot, but...

Anyone from Larence want to trade their Mac in to get a PC back?

Greg -- on SNC vs Lake Forest, I would go with Lake Forest right now, they seem to have the hot hand.  And I think that like the CCIW, the MWC is down this year.  Overall it might be better, but the top is not as good.  Ultimately I think this is good for the conference because the bottom teams are no longer 0-3 wins for the season and will give conference and non-conference opponents a game...  I could be wrong on this we will have to wait and see how the MWC rep does come tourney time, but i don't see a performance like Lawrence of a few years ago.

System Error -- as you well know JoJo worked the refs pretty hard as a player, you can't expect that to change as a coach.

SNC is good this year, but having seen this team online a few times I don't think they are as good as DeNoble's team that ran the table a few years back.  Hoffman was pretty dominant that year and they had a wing-- I forget his name, that was about 6'5" and extreemly athletic, not to mention very solid guard play.

Conference is interesting this year as I would say the bottom is a little better than other years and the top a little down.

Grinnell 2010... the team nobody wants to play... (and they are killing me in the pick 'em league)

Not sure how I missed that...brainfart or something!  Oh well!  Next year for me!
Don't get so down on yourself... the way the MWC looks this year you can still make a run at it even with an 0-10 start.  Get your picks in for Wednesday!

By the predictions in the pick 'em thread, we really think the south is weak this year.  The average poster only pick the HOME south teams to win 3 of 10 for the weekend.  If this actually happens it would have to be one of the worst showings for the home division in a cross-over weekend in my recollection.  (Now I am ready for you all to prove that my early onset Altzheimer's is getting worse.)

not to bring up and old topic, but i missed all of the COY discussion...

I think most coaches would agree with me when I say they spend similar time recrtuiting as they do actually "coaching."  (SNCOLDAD, I'm sure you can attest to the amount of time you son was on the phone with coaches during his senior year of HS as well as all the letters he got...)  So if a coach is able to recruit 11 first team all conference players doesn't that alone earn him strong consideration for COY?

"System" haters are out early this year.
You will find that I am an equal opportunity hater.

By the way, there's a lot to be learned tonight in Oskaloosa, Iowa. The Pioneers travel to William Penn University to meet the 7-1 Statesmen.

and at least we learned that William Penn does not turn the ball over enough to lose to Grinnell (or Grinnell turns it over too much to win).
