Congrats to LU coach Joel DePagter.  Rumor is he was married last weekend.  No confirmation if he wore his pink socks to the ceremony. 

It will be tought to fill a position there.....after all, Carroll is a girl's name. 

I heard a rumour that Schultz resigned to take the job at his alma mater. 

All those freshmen can help pull out the ice shanty and catch some nightcrawlers for TVD.

No matter who the coach is, I remember from a college trip to Plateville that the ladies there were scary.

Spartans open with last-second victory  -  Saturday May 9th, 2009
Anthony Johnson threw for three touchdowns, ran for another and Jon Vojta kicked the game-winning field goal with less than five seconds left Saturday, lifting the Spartans to a 38-35 victory over the Northern Wisconsin Wolverines in the season opener.

Jon Krull, a former UWSP basketball star, was on the receiving end of two of those touchdown passes and Frank Minervini caught the first touchdown in Spartan history. Kevin Thompson added a rushing touchdown.

The Spartans hit the road next week to take on the Fox Valley Force in Appleton, they will be back home on May 30th as they face the U.P. Arctic Blast at Stiehm Stadium.

Randall wanted the 2nd shift job at the Oshkosh Culvers, but when he was denied, he applied here.

He was the assistant for the prior 4 years as well. 

Now all these guys can go play for the Beloit Brewers.

Hope Point makes it to Appleton so we can see all the Point hotties   

DePagter has a long history of kicking Oshkosh's ass which would help, but I think you are right, it is too soon.

So what happened there....did they get those guys off the field or was their any further incident ?

I was out last night and there was an Ultimate Fighting Event on TV and I swore the guy fighting was Jason Schepler, the former Carroll player.  He was a pretty good instigator when he played for the Piioneers so it very well could have been him.

Anyone have any insights on this?
