After a year playing D1 Basketball in St. Louis, no offense, who would want to go back to a D3?

Fontbonne sounds like a D1 program these days. Lisch, this guy who come from a well respected program, Fogerty, Storandt, the other guy...wow....they are going to be tough.
Too bad it won't work out.
Sorry in advance FU

Hope, you are killing me leaving Compton off!
I do got nothing but love for Fournie so I can respect that.
Holland for 6th man I am down with too; I'm always impressed with him.
SLIAC Man and Hopefan: the keenest eyes on D3 Hoops???

Neil Compton - 19.3 PPG (2nd), 6.9 RPG (6th), 32 3PTM (T-4th)
45% FG Shooter, 7th in Blocked Shots, 5th in Defensive Rebounds
After watching Neil all year, as well as the rest of the conference, there is no doubt in my mind that he should be 1st team. He carried Mac. After 3 of his teammates bailed on him and the program, Neil stuck around to finish what he started. His dedication to the program and his consistent presence as the best player on the court 99% of the time he steps on it cannot be overlooked by the coaches. Players like Neil who define the SLIAC, score 1000 points, and have never had another player or coach look cross at him need a look at 1st team.
As if Neil didn't already deserve the 1st team honor, it would also be a nice gesture by the coaches, considering the snubs from last year's Mac squad.
This one's on you coaches.
But, as far us posters are concerned (am I a poster yet?), here are my nominees.
1st Team
PG - Ryan Turk WU (Great player, the best or the second best the SLIAC has to offer)
SG - Andrew Buxton WC (Can't argue with his numbers. Senior stepped up...)
SF - Neil Compton THE MAC (Carried his team, pure scorer, one of the SLIAC's finest)
PF - Brian Fogerty FU (POY hands down)
C - Justin Storandt FU (He earned it)
2nd Team
PG - Ben Cochran GC (Tough call between him and Waters from BC, but you can't argue with his numbers, and have to like his youth. NOY as well)
SG - Josh Branch FU (Will be 1st team next year)
SF - Kyle Johnson PC (Underrated player)
PF - Laphanso Ellis GC (Gotta love this guy)
C - Brad Robinson (Plays with a lot of heart. Was really impressed with him this year)
Honorable mentions include: Brian Waters of BC, Michael Zasada of EC, Chad Fournie of FU, Billy Long of THE MAC, and Darrin Hoggatt of WU...An All-Defensive team, if you will.
Can't wait to see the rest of these so I can disagree with them

Get Sat.'s film of that FU/ Prin game to the conference commish ASAP
What they called on Myers was the wrong call.
He didn't accidently get under somebody, push or shove somebody, gouge somebody.
HE TACKLED SOMEBODY FROM BEHIND
Then he was left in the game to commit his 5th.
Principia should not be left to disipline this player.
It's the conference's job to evaluate it.
Was his intent to hurt another player ?
Do you know him well enough to make that call ?
I don't.
I know what I SAW.
I heard it wasn't the first time he committed a similiar act.
BASKETBALL-- A MILD COLLISION SPORT
Tackles aren't allowed
This was worse than any clip I've seen in person on a football field.
GET THE FILM TO THE CONFERENCE
quoted for posterity

Pride I've seen this kid and he's dirty as sin.
My guess is that the coach didn't see it...but who knows.

Not surprising from Myers. I've seen him play a lot. All you can do with a guy like that is to always be on guard.

Games for Saturday:
Down the stretch they come.
Big game between Maryville and Eureka. Maryville could gain a 2 win lead over Eureka. Not a must win for Eureka, but damn near close.
Greenville needs a Eureka win too.
Prin at Webster. Webster wins by 25.
BC at FC. FC by 35.
GC at Mac. Mac by a few

Does moving on mean he's leaving us? We need posters from Jacksonville.
Do you need liars from Jacksonville? Guy can't even tell the truth about who he is. How can you trust anything else?
Dude you run a message board.

I'm just glad Brady Greene will be on the bench keeping stats. That way I won't have to worry about him trying to blind side Fogerty, while Brian's on a break away.
Hahaha. We must have been at two different games. BREAKAWAY!?!? Fogerty was on the right block, received a pass from the opposite ELBOW, and was wide open for a 2 foot layup. Greene, who was guarding the ELBOW, used his lightening quick agility to defend Fogerty who was going in for an uncontested layup. Greene took a completely legal swipe (going for the ball) at Fogerty's HANDS to prevent the layup. I repeat...HANDS. This was not the "Fogerty got blindsided and is lucky to be here today" foul story that FCnews has been spinning the past year. It was a hard, but more importantly, legal, foul. This is exactly what happened. People have every right to take exception to the play, I'd just like to make sure they know exactly what went on.
And no, Brady does not need a hair cut.

Good point Panther Pride. I was about to say I'd had better High School than SLIAC refs, but didn't consider that the physical nature is about 10 times more!
Overall, I don't think you can complain about SLIAC refs. There's a few who have some bad games, but those games are so rare that I can't even remember specific ones. Although...I've never been in a DII or D1 conference, so I have really nothing to compare them with.
