McMurry  no longer has an Indian mascot because the NCAA believes that it is potentially demeaning to Native Americans.  Towards the end of the McM-HSU game, a lot of the HSU fans, including some members of the Cowboy Band, were loudly chanting Indian cries and waving their arms like imaginary tomahawks  Should the NCAA maybe be made aware of the fact that HSU seems to allow demeaning of Native Americans?

Believes?  Potentially?  First of all, it's what the NCAA believes, who cares, Ask the McMurry folks and im pretty sure they didnt like what NCAA beleived was the right thing to do by making them remove their mascot.  Im so sick of our society where everyone gets their little "feelers" in a wad over something that is so stupid.  I would be more concerned about the Coach on the sideline cussing the refs everytime he didnt like what they called.  That bothered me alot and hope it bothered McMurry fans and players as well.  If not, then there are bigger problems for McMurry.  My son was very bothered by this and made it known he would never play for a coach that acted the way he did.  If you feel like you need to let them know, go for it.  As for as Jake, I really do hope he is ok.  Im afraid the injury may be seasong ending.   He is a good qb and deserves ALOT of credit for turning around McMurry football.

Justin Feaster, QB Hardin Simmons.  Had a visit from the Rams last season, which went very well.  After suffering his season ending injury during the game against Linfeld, he is back stonger and quicker.  He has all the qualities to make it to the next level.

So I was watching the 2009 Linfield highlight of the Hardin-Simmons game (transparent plug) and I started thinking about what the word is on Feaster's shoulder.  Is the kid 100% healthy and coming back for sure?
Justin is doing fine.  He suffered the same injury that Bradford (OU) had. He's been in the weight room working hard as ever and tells me his shoulder is good.  Looking forward to another season.  Thanks for asking.

Justin is doing ok.  He has been throwing the ball and seems to have fully recovered.  Arm strength and accuracy is looking real good if not better than it was.  I wish good health and safety for all players.  Injuries are very hard to overcome.
