For my all conference ballot would be.....

1st Team

Brain Fogerty (Fontbonne)
Neil Compton (MacMurray)
Andrew Buxton (Westminister)
Josh Branch (Fontbonne)
Ryan Turk (Webster)

2nd Team

Mark Darnell (Eureka)
LaPhonso Ellis (Greenville)
Patrick McCoy (Fontbonne)
Brad Robinson (Webster)
Kyle Johnson (Principia)

I think there are one or two spots on the second team that can go to a number of players....such as Todd Zimmerman (Principia) Billy Long (MacMurray) Ben Cochran (Greenville) Aaron Steinke (Maryville) Justin Storandt (Fontbonne) Darrin Hoggatt (Webster)

I know people wont agree with these but this is just my opinion.

and I believe most people in here will agree that going to Blackburn and getting a win hasnt always been the easiest thing to do.....The intentional foul at the end of the game wasnt necassary but you cant blame the game on that.  There was 3.7 seconds left and MacMurrays ball when they were up by 2 already....The game was in pretty good control in my opinion! :)

The fouls called and not called at the end of the game gave the Beavers no chance at tieing or taking the lead in the final seconds. It seemed that the refs were more concerned about the fans then the actual game. When they were watching the game, slaps to Macs players wrists drew whistles yet when the BC players bodies were being tossed to the floor, their were no calls to be heard.

I don't know what game you were watching.  MacMurray played a pretty good game, and one of the only reasons Blackburn was able to come back in the game was because of the officiating.  I dont know what calls you were talking about with the "slaps to Macs players wrists."  I dont recall seeing any of those, but if your looking for excuses maybe it was the perimeter defense Blackburn played.....

fcnews thats garbage....you sit here and act like you just give respect to players but sure enough look at you trying to take low blows at MacMurray players.  Jerel Robertson did get undercut last year and you sit there and act like the game last year was all MacMurray and Brady Green when you should open your eyes, it takes 2.  Storandt last year was a dirty along with a few others....Thats pretty narrow minded dont you think considering Fontbonne is one of the least classiest team in the SLIAC. So what if you think Brady Green needs a hair cut.  That is not your call and not your business so mind your own, instead of trying to degrade an athlete why dont you talk about the game and not whether someone of not your concern needs a haircutt.  You just showed your true colors....

This weekend shouldnt be too crazy...

Webster over Eureka
Fontbonne easily over LC
Greenville over Principia
Westminister dominates Blackburn

MacMurray shocks Maryville....The MacMurray team will win some games and they have proven to be able to hang with the best teams as of late (Westminister 12 and Webster 10) which Maryville lost to Westminister by 21 and beat Eureka by only 4...I believe this will be a better match up then what people think...

After 5 to 6 games into the conference season I havnt really been that impressed with anything.  Yes you have the standouts up top with Webster, Westminister, and Fontbonne but I dont feel like there is one team that anyone can guarentee or come close to guarenteeing the winner.  I believe this conference is more random this year then i have seen in the past.

For example Webster (which in my opinion is the best team and so far is the only out of the top 3 with a heads up win which was Fontbonne by 22 points) is averaging a 20.6 winning margin in conference play.  So far the closest game they have ran into was against MacMurray who lost to them by 10.....9 points less than the next best which was Greenville losing by 19.

Then you have Westminister which is averaging a 22.4 winning margin (the 51 point win to Principia put a little mark on that).  But they dominated the 4th place Maryville by 21, and MacMurray was their closest game which they won by 12.

Then you have Fontbonne...the most important game they have played was against Webster and they lost by 22 at HOME!!!! Then they snuck out an important win against Maryville by 3.  But where as Webster and Westminister have had there hardest time against the bottom team of MacMurray, Fontbonne handed them a 45 point dinner.  And is averaging 24.6 winning margin.

There are alot of games left to be played and I believe this thing is so wide open that anything can happen with that 4th spot.  Its almost even enough to say MacMurray still has a shot at the 4th spot.  It will take a very good run but its possible and they are 0-6.

I do believe Maryville will be up there considering they have played both Fontbonne and Westminister and granted they have lost both but they have won the games they have to and are still sitting on the top side.

I can't wait to start seeing what happens when the "Big 3" start playing each other and seeing who separates from the pack.  Im guessing one will get left and they will be fighting to get in....
