In  regards to the ATW webcasts......is some kind of wi-fi hotspot needed at the field? How does it work? I'm looking into it for the high school team I coach which happens to be an overseas DoD school. Would love to be able to broadcast to parents who are deployed and to families back in the States.

Indeed, HM, indeed!  I look forward to hearing your booming presence on the videocasts!

Let's add Kyle Felix and Evan Jones, both of Trinity, to the Watch List.  Both are well-deserving and should quickly prove why.

I was wondering what happened to Hendrix' Caleb Schallawitz, the FY pitcher from last season who threw a gem in the final game of the SCAC championships. He is not showing on the Warriors 2010 roster. Anyone know anything?

"The west always has to deal with Millsaps."

One could argue that the West always has to deal with Trinity.  But I think both arguments are valid!

Trinity has posted its 2009 team preview.

Just about a month to go.  Trinity will tangle early with UT-Tyler, on 2/7 and 2/8. That will be a fun pair to watch.

Wow, that was a nice flurry of activity!!  Pros, cons, it's all good at this time of year. Looking forward to more, more, and more as the season draws ever closer and then.......at long last.......begins!!

Happy Holidays to All!

No argument there. However, they manage to do it fairly often (at least into Regional action).

Trinity returns a team which came within one game of the CWS and all ten of their top ten at-bat guys from last seasion return:

.402, .367, .357, .353, .353, .344, .316, .307, .293, and .288 ...... and five of those were freshmen.  Offensively, TU promises to be highly potent.

On the hill, Bronson is back but lower-inning guys from last year and some talented newcomers will have to pick up the torch as Oates and Poffenroth have graduated.  If the P-staff can put it all together, they could go deep into May.

Fall ball is winding down......and when the WS is over, man, it's going to be hard to be baseball-less.  Anyone have any info / news / opinion / prelim schedules, ANYthing SCAC-related to share?

From the Trinity U grapevine:

"Brian Oates received a call from the Seattle Mariners and was offered a contract.  He is leaving for Peoria, Arizona next week to join their rookie league team."

ifd, you know what I'm hoping for three or four years from now  ;)

Does anyone know why Wayde Kitchens (JR Chapman) wasn't taken?  I'm just curious.

Okay, now that whatever was happening up in Wisconsin is over, let's look at the SCAC for the '09 season!!

Which teams are returning most of their starters?  How does returning pitching look?  Anyone care to make any predictions eight months out?   :o

Maybe it's still too early, but I'm trying to tune into the audio-cast...however - keep getting a message saying Quicktime can't play the file because it's a .mov (video) file.  Can anyone help?
