I don't think that they did.  The box score has Miller starting and he was relieved by Sbilly in the 4th.  Miller had starter 8 games this year and was 3-1 with a 1.84 ERA in 44 innings

my bad. Well then was Miller hurt? Its hard for me to beleive that you yank him after 2 runs

Why is Tufts starting a reliever against a team with an Ace with a 1.33 ERA?

How about the coaches act like they have played in a regional before.........high seeds (#7/8) normally have an ace that can beat you on day #1.

All coaches should know this.

What do people think about the Alvernia JHU matchup?

Could be the best matchup of the first round (in the country) - Kirk vs. Eliopolous

I think you have to seriously consider both Brian Youchak (OF or 2B) and Todd Emr (3B). Their stats are unparalleled and Youchak led two teams to Wisconsin from a school that had not been there in quite awhile:

Career Stats:

Youchak:

BA: .461
Hits: 259
HR: 30
2B: 53
OBPS: 1.230

Emr:

BA: .445
Hits: 225
HR: 15
2B: 53

This is always the most frutrating thing about the ABCA All-Region/All-American teams.  They go through the whole nomination/voting process announce it to the 150 people at the banquet, but don't bother to tell anyone else with e-mail, website, blog, smoke signals, semifore flags.  Don't they want people to know??

It's not a press releases, unless you RELEASE it.

I completely agree.....how is anyone supposed to know who made the team(s)????

WHere is it????

I have seen nothing official yet, so I'll just tell you what I heard without mentioning names.

Heidelberg had 3 1st team AA and 2 2nd team.

I'll post more when it's confirmed.
Is that regional or national?

national...

Kudos to the d3baseball.com All-Americans, and to the Hopkins players with AA credentials who didn't get selected.  That's the problem with being on a team with so many incredibly talented players when comes time for individual recognition which, politically, has to be spread around.  I can't get to Appleton, guys, but be assured that I'll be yelling, "Work hard out there!" at my computer screen.

So supposidly all the games will not be videocast as last year. BUMMER.

Driving/flying out there now looks much more attractive. I guess live stats will have to be enough for me.

Congratulations to the 13 JHU Bluejays who graduated this afternoon.  Way to go, guys!!

Congrats guys. Lotta hard work. Well-deserved.

Also, Congrats to the 24 Hopkins players named to the All-Region Team  :P

Thank you for pointing out my mistake bulldozer, how careless of me. But as you say, 1 homerun allowed in 74.1 innings is still quite impressive.

I completely agree with everything said about the Hopkins potential national pitchers and hitters of the year.

Like i said, all three hopkins starters could be all-americans. How do you pick between them. The one which draws the Heidelberg game may get some ERA inflation.....maybe

I'd like to give a shoutout to the Plattsburgh softball program.

In only 12 years of existence, they've already been to the NCAA tournament twice, plus one World Series. That's how you build a program and make a real splash.

It's too bad baseball hasn't had a sniff of that success. Maybe Chip Cummings should have sunk his money in a real program ... the PSUC Softball Team!

Seriously TruthFinder, you have had it out for the SUNYAC and Plattburgh, in particular.

You better have been an All-American and won the national championship to talk about another team like that.

How do you have Cortland St. being overrated if you have them making the second round of the winners bracket.  And Linfield isn't an easy draw, they won the by far best region.

New England Region was far and away the best region.

I think the midwest and the Mideast also have arguments. Those were the top 4. Pick the order........who knows.
