He was either Steinbrenner's first casualty, or the first to say NO to the Boss, as he quit after one year of Steinbrenner ownership.

He'll probably be best remembered as manager of the 1961 Yankees (his first season), one of the teams always in the discussion of 'best ever'.

Another great Yankee now joins the others....

Any insight on the where teams stand after last weekend games for Pool B bids....

Of course In-Region, OWP, etc... are not easily calculated without spending some time on this.

Whose in, Whose out, Whose on the bubble ?

University of Dallas record is 19-12-1. Not sure of its IN-Region Record.

Chapman needs to get by Menlo today before UofD and have teams like
Washington University lose also. Several teams in front of Chapman in Pool B must lose for Chapman to even have a chance at all.

IN 2006

CF Tyler Dean, Chapman:
In one of the rarest of achievements, Dean hit for the cycle on back-to-back days. Against Pomona-Pitzer, he hit for the cycle in just four at bats. The very next day against Pomona-Pitzer, he did it again. He was hit by the first pitch he saw in the game. He then doubled in the third, grounded out in the fourth, tripled in the sixth, singled in the seventh and homered in the eighth. Dean finished the 2-game series 8-for-10 with 7 runs scored, 6 RBI and 20 total bases
