July 17, 2009, 12:28:59 AMA lot of you probably remember Dave Whigham. Pitched for Guilford 3 years then for VWC his senior year..He now plays for the El Paso Diablos He got hit in the right temple with a line drive on the 9th of July (I think thats right) and was in ICU for a while and also had to have an operation...He's gonna be able to play again but not until next year...A very luck young man..only 50% pulls through an injury like this....Link to an interview with Dave... http://www.ktsm.com/sports

Hip Hip Hoorah for SU...they have been put down all season, but showed a lot of people that they can beat some really good teams...They have had a great season and I hope they can go far in the W series...Everyone in their conference and the odac conference should be rooting for them..

I'm really surprised at you guys..Are you saying that the only reason W&L won is because their players are smarter than all the other teamplayers...I think VWC, Hampton Sidney, Lynchburg and RMC would take exception to that..I really thought Lynchburg would win it all and they were out in the first two games not because their players weren't smart but just because they didn't have good games on those days...most of the players going to your favorite schools probably couldn't even get into Hampton Sidney with their grades. So come on guys don't talk about how smart the players are. I had to reply to this because its wrong.... Any team can win or lose on any given day...
