Pat, I enjoy the banter :)

But, I do not believe that making (as well as missing) longer field goals proves better distance. It can however prove that he has had more opportunities; which he did capitalize on at times (3/6 50-99 yards). Missing long field goals also doesn't prove a better leg nor better distance. These field goals could've been left, right or short as well.

Jeff has had some 'gimmes' this year, that's obvious. He's also made kicks which have kept WW in the game and helped WW win the game. We could argue this all day, but when you ask any coach what they want in a kicker, 9 times out of 10 they'll say CONSISTENCY, not just the ability for the big all.

Jeff has range, I won't argue that topic. But, if Leipold wants a 19 yarder, that's what he gets: 3 points.

I'm done with this one!

I've read some good points, and of course I'm very biased. However, Jeff missed some extra points based on blocks as well. I will state that a kicker is responsible for most every miss, including at times his kicks which were blocked.

The Linfield kid is talented but 8 misses are 8 misses. School record aside, lets not forget the all-time field goal leader (Schebs) in his JUNIOR year. He deserves it.

How does a kicker with 56% fg accuracy get all west-region?

Alright...finally something I can talk about--Specials.

Punting the ball has been difficult this year for two reasons. First, there's a lack of experience. Kris is young. I understand that playing in the WIAC holds you to a different standard, as does playing for Whitewater. He gets few opportunities, and will be just fine. He's quite talented. I remember a certain punter who averaged about 33 yd/punt for an entire season following an All-WIAC year. Let's be patient.

Jeff is the best kicker in the country, and he knows when he doesn't play up to par. We've tried to make adjustments to his kickoffs of late, and this Spring. He understands that it's his downfall right now. Also, about the extra points. Teams can key-in on what new snappers do very easily. If you ask me, it's something that needs to be handled up-front. C'mon Dinkle--two-thirds, one-third! :)

As for the rest of the specials...things will pick up. The youth will soon become experienced.

I'd like to recognize Keegan Brenan, Donovan, Adam Brandes and Kyle Supianoski for some recent things they helped out with.

I teach 5th grade in Genoa City and needed volunteers for an incentive day....The four showed up and played football with the kids for an hour. The students had a blast and the Warhawks represented well.

Congrats to Schebs and Levell, D3 Team of the Week.
Jeff told me the 47 yarder nearly skimmed the crossbar, Levell seems like a gamer. Well done!

Schebs has told me that no punter has clearly stood out, and Leipold was still unsure. The snapping duties are set with separate snappers doing short/long. I'm unsure about the names however.

I'm in. Someone tell me more. I punted, therefore I know nothing.  :)
