Westminster's spark plug Tony Woods is out with a torn ACL.

This guy was very important to the team with his hustle, and I was looking forward to him getting on the court and showing his hard-nosed play this year. :'(

I am not sure if this is true, but just some interesting info.

I was told that Joe James grew 3 inches this summer.

My source was really trying to convince me, but I simply just can't take this information as valid.

Anybody have info on this?

Westminster will have a tough time filling the gap left by their seniors.

Can Joe James pick up where Kovach left off?

Rumor has it that Westmin got a player who turned down D1 offers to go there - don't know any more info on that yet.

If Fritsch is a d-1 talent, then Kovach from Westminster should enter the NBA draft.

One thing I will say - after seeing Westminster play the number 1 team in the nation twice (Wash U. 2 years ago and now Hope), I have to wonder how in the world these rankings are made.

Wash U and Hope were both good teams, but I was never impressed with them being top in the country. Maybe it was just those years because they lost in the next round each year.

Lets go fighting Sodemans!

Westminster was undersized but it didn't matter. They  seemed to play well against a great crowd but hope fans called in the wahmbulace and that seemed to seal the deal.

I do agree that the individual awards are mainly based on PPG, and there were a lot of players who received awards that shocked me. With that said, individual awards are just that - its winning the conf. tourney that really matters.

The team that has been to the conf. tourney championship game the past 4 years in a row (I think), Westminster, usually doesnt have a lot of luck getting players on 1st team. To me, this just shows with balanced scoring and teamwork, individuals don't receive as much attention as other players who average 20 ppg on a sub-par team.

Also, being at a good amount of Westminster games, their statisticians (college students), have never really taken stats correct - mainly assists. I have kept stats a few times, and it seems they dont keep track of assists unless they are blatantly obvious. I think this is unfair for players (on home and away teams) because this causes their assist-to-turnover ratio to suffer.

With that being said, it can be assumed I am a Westminster fan. Hopefully they can pull out a win tomorrow!!

Sounds like an exciting game!

I am talking about the floor that was just put in. I was told it had large gaps between some pieces and has no give to it. Also, I don't know how true this is, but overheard that the students put it in?

Either way, I still think it has to be better than the older floor!

MoBball - I am here and just reading the posts. There is one thing I will say, though. I sure hope the tourny is hosted by Webster because if I recall correctly, the Eureka gym floor is pretty bad (I am talking about the new floor)   :'(

Is there any summer league action? I believe there might be games at Meremac tonight.
