With things being being a little slow since no W&J posters (if there are any) are bold enough to show up this week, what's everyone's guess on the All-OAC selections when they're published this Monday?

well seeing as how last year there were 16 on offense and 15 on defense ill throw some names out there...

Oline- Nitz at center, Guerrero at tackle, Benchic ONU, Scarl from BW( good ol country boy) and its a toss up for the last spot

Quarterback- Has to be Rocco

Running Back- Donley from ONU, Coy from OTT, and I'll throw Lamar Hunter in there who led the conference in Yards per game on arguably the worst team in the OAC (cough cough Otterbein)

Receivers- Cecil, Frank Ross from JCU and Preston from Heidelberg(kids such a great athlete)

Dline- Millings, Herbert and Williamson could all get first team so ill name five, Bevington from JCU and Horn from ONU who was completely unblockable in the game I saw

Lb's- Martin from wilm (123 tackles is legit), Medley from Wilm, and third is a toss up ( every mount backer is good they just dont have the stats because they are never on the field and done by halftime)

Db's- McClain (Mount), Cigas (JCU), Stewart (mount), Woodfork(OTT) best shut down corner I've seen at this level in a while, Dugan from BW could get it also with 6 picks

Kicker- Carpenter had the most points but I'm going to go with the freshman from JCU Marchese who was a backup to start the year and came in and made 11/12 field goals

Punter- JCU Roshong- they usually go by average for this one and he average 40 yards on 45 punts

Agreed...heres a synopsis on CWRU

Offense

Backs/Receivers- very deep, four running backs are rotated fairly evenly and each have their own strengths, receivers are very reliable and run great routes each can be a deep threat

QB- Gagliardi Finalist last year, multiple time offensive mvp of uaa, best asset may be his elusiveness as he never gets tackled one on one, very accurate, hard to believe there is a better running/passing quarterback in the country

Line- left side is very solid, right side is inexperienced but has performed well this year, line is built quick and athletic and are very good runners

Defense

Line- all four are very fast and athletic, they make it difficult for the line to get to get to the backers, number 56 cannot be blocked by just one man the whole game

Backers- Middle linebacker may be best you have seen this year, not the biggest but very athletic and has very good instincts, olbs are very sound players

Dbs- One AFCA preseason all american at corner, he rarely gets tested because he will pick it off, the other dbs have combined for 11 ints this year and are rarely out of position

Special Teams

Kicker- very accurate, was schools all time field goals made leader by end of sophomore year, has big leg and can kickoff into the endzone consistently

Punter- Is the QB, at times has a booming leg, a one time would have been leading the country in yards per punt if he had enough punts to qualify

also i look forward to continue to post and look forward to some good debates

thanks for the info...saw the finalists for liberty mutual coach of the year...anyone else surprised to see Gagliardi, and not Matt Land or John Miech...not taking anything away from a legend but St. Johns didnt exactly have a St. Johns year

If I remember correctly the All American team comes out the day of the Stagg Bowl, when do the all region teams come out. Also how do the finalists for the Gagliardi get chosen, is it one from each region or just the top four overall.

The case/kenyon game was 62-0 at one point...but denison looked really good...and oberlin we knew their offense was going to put some points up but it looked like their defense held up for the most part...i didnt expect them to have desire to put up that kind of a fight after last year was supposed to be the year of the yeomen...great job
