I was on the CDFL website....College Development Football League and saw Gus Orenstein's name listed with the d3 and d1aa senior classic games. Wasn't he the Rowan Qb from the mid to late 90's?
He was the Rowan QB. The footage of the D3 game in Salem is archived at www.knoxivi.com/d3classic. The North squad featured 4 players from the NJAC, Joe Lopez (Cortland), Leer Biddle(WPU), Nathan Bull and Sean Kearney (both from Brockport). Leer Biddle was named a captain of the North team.

Springfield 35
Fisher 24
It is a real tough challenge for Fisher today. The game has so many implications for SC, and Fisher really is out of the race. I think that is a good pick. They key will be how the SC option attack moves the ball. Fisher has seen this type of offense against Salisbury, but I don't think they have enough.
yea. springfield is really firing on all cylinders now too. that offense is tough to stop when they're rolling.

Hey E8ers,
I posted about the CDFL earlier last football season for some feedback, I would like to thank those of you who responded and I also wanted to give you guys some updates about where we're at now: We currently have registered athletes from 14 states and 2 countries! We've held 2 clinics and 2 7-on-7s and we have Rutgers looking at 5 of our players. We're scheduled to have our first game in early July and our championship in mid August. We are still accepting athletes so if you know any males ages 18-24 that can benefit from our service please let them know! Feel free to check out our website too, www.playcdfl.com. Thanks guys, God bless.
Congrats Pep.

ok- then is he hurt?
havent seen him play in3 games now
Yes, this fellow Websterian can tell you he is injured. My cousin went to high school with him and remains good friends with him. She told me he was injured in the Buff State game. I told her to get an update on when he'd be back. She said she'd get right on that. I picked up on the sarcasm.
Hmmm... the Alfred Sun Sports Columnist, who was down for the Homecoming game Saterday, resides in Webster. Realize it's a big town, but seems of late Pep has many acquaintances there.
Noah Webster taught in my home town of Goshen from 1782-1783. Does that count, Pep?
hey commish i grew up in goshen too. where did you live?
Hambletonian Park. You?
oh i know i bunch of people that lived there. i grew up on wickham avenue. did you play at goshen?

hey guys. i'm looking for some feedback on a new football league that i'm helping set up. our website is www.playcdfl.com. it would be great if you could check it out and let me know what you think. thanks.
Hey this looks pretty interesting...If I read it correctly, this league is designed for players who never got the chance to play in college?
yes and also for players that might be interesting in transfering but didnt get any playing time in college.
Sounds like a great idea...now these players, can they attend college and not play for schools team but play in this league?
yes...the only real limit on this league is age. but we will be screening kids that are currently enrolled in college with full-time status because their eligibility might be used up or close to used up. the sole purpose of the league to get kids recruited that went under the radar for whatever reason while they were in high school so all of our games will be modified inorder to get valuable footage on each player, no onsides kicks or things of that nature.
